Announcing DJ JIMNICRICKET as Musical Guest of Honor

This Portland-based DJ first gained attention when she placed 3 in the Rane DJ mega mix Battle and then won first place at the prestigious Donald Glaud DJ Invitational.

Shortly after, she collaborated on a track with renowned producer S3RL. Now, JimniCricket hosts the region’s first FM radio show, “Push The Tempo,” dedicated to the happy hardcore genre on C895. When she’s not on the airwaves, she captivates audiences on Twitch with her imaginative content that combines her artistic talents and impressive scratching skills.

With a solid resume that includes performances with top labels like Bonkers and KFA, as well as a previous role as an official DJ for HappyHardcore.com, JimniCricket brings an exciting new energy to the happy hardcore scene in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Announcing Erica Mendez as Voice Actor Guest of Honor

Erica Mendez is a Chicago-native now living in Los Angeles and working in the field of voice-over. She has played many fan-favorite characters, including: Retsuko in Aggretsuko, Ryuko in KILL la KILL, Gon in Hunter x Hunter, Aladdin in Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Yuuki in Sword Art Online II, Sailor Uranus in the Viz Media dub of Sailor Moon, Megumin in Konosuba, Emma in The Promised Neverland, Akko in Little Witch Academia, Diane in Seven Deadly Sins, Nico in Love Live!, Mash in Fate/Grand Order, Raphtalia in The Rising of the Shield Hero, Bernadetta in Fire Emblem Three Houses, and Kamisato Ayaka in Genshin Impact.

You can also hear her in video games such as Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Legends of Runeterra, Octopath Traveler II, Scarlet Nexus, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, The Fire Emblem series, Triangle Strategy, New Pokémon Snap, Ys IX, Tales of Berseria, Puyo Puyo Tetris, The Danganronpa franchise, Code Vein, Soul Calibur VI, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, and the Trails of Cold Steel series; As well as animated shows like Demon Slayer, Delicious in Dungeon, Yashahime, Shaman King (2021), Your Lie in April, Anohana, Erased, Pokémon Horizon, To Your Eternity, Boruto, Re:ZERO, Fate/Apocrypha, My Hero Academia, and many more.

Voice acting isn’t the only way she keeps herself busy: her script adaptation work includes Delicious in Dungeon, The Promised Neverland, Little Witch Academia, Sailor Moon SuperS, Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, Carole & Tuesday, and Fate/Apocrypha. She made her directorial debut with the animated film I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, which she also adapted.

August 15 Membership Meeting

Our next membership meeting for the 2026 convention year will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 2pm, and we will be holding it online.

As usual for our online meetings, the meeting will be streamed in real time on Kumoricon’s Twitch channel. Additional participation is available on our public Discord server.

If you have news to report during the “Good of the Order” portion of the meeting, you can email goto@kumoricon.org OR open.mic@kumoricon.org OR good.of.the.order@kumoricon.org. You can email Good of the Order at any time during the year, and your email will be reviewed during the next regular meeting.

“Good of the Order” is a great place to share new anime you’ve been watching, bring up exciting activities you recommend people try, ask questions, or share news you think would be relevant to the staff and attendees of Kumoricon.

If you are an organization member (voting staff) of Kumoricon, you may officially participate in this meeting, including counting toward quorum and the ability to vote, using the procedures listed on the Meetings page.

The Meetings page will always show the most up-to-date schedule for dates, times, and locations for meetings of the membership.

Announcing Lisa Reimold as Voice Actor Guest of Honor

Lisa Reimold is a voice actress best known for her roles in anime and video games, including Aria Shiratori in DANDADAN, Falin Touden in Delicious in Dungeon, Framme in Fire Emblem Engage, Guinevere in The Seven Deadly Sins, Perla Pucci in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, and Kurumi in Lycoris Recoil.

Fans can also look forward to hearing her as Ivy Pepper in the upcoming animated series Lackadaisy.

Membership Price Increase

Our last increase of the year before pre-registration is closed!

Get your full weekend membership for Kumoricon 2026 by August 8 before pricing increases to $95 for ages 13 and up (and $35 for ages 6-12) on August 9.

Announcing Laura Stahl as Voice Actor Guest of Honor

Laura Stahl is a Los Angeles-based voice actor. You may know her from Fire Emblem: Engage as Female Alear, The Promised Neverland as Ray, Genshin Impact as Barbara and Xinyan, as Dorothy from The Great Pretender, as Iruma from Welcome to Demon School Irumakun, as well as several other shows and games.

Laura has also adapted scripts for anime such as Yashahime: Princess Half DemonFate Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia, Eden (Starring Ruby Rose Turner, David Tennant, and Neil Patrick Harris) and more.

In college, Laura studied Musical Theater, and in high school, she was a band geek and loved fantasy novels. She couldn’t be happier to have a career in anime and JRPGs, because she always knew she was going to spend her entire life as a very proud nerd.

Cosplay Contest Rules Are Live

The rules for the 2026 Cosplay Contest is now live on the website; please read it carefully as some things have changed.

Applications will be open from September 13 to September 27.

There is just one week left to enter the 2027 Kumoricon Mascot Contest. Entries close on August 2, so if you’re planning to submit a design, now’s the time to put the finishing touches on it and submit your entry before the deadline!
