Accessibility

We strive to provide a welcoming experience to all attendees at Kumoricon. Our venues, the Oregon Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Portland, are designed for accessibility and provides a wide range of features to assist visitors.

When registering for or checking in to the convention, members requesting accessibility accommodation can skip the regular Kumoricon registration line and receive service at the Accessibility Booth inside the Registration Hall. The Accessibility Booth has more information about accessibility accommodation throughout the convention.

The Oregon Convention Center includes several gender-neutral restrooms. They will be listed on the convention map and this page will be updated with a list when the convention layout is finalized.

Kumoricon welcomes animals that are trained to provide assistance, through a specific action, to an individual with a disability. (Please be aware that the Oregon Convention Center otherwise prohibits all animals on its campus. This includes therapy or anxiety pets. Only animals trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability, through a specific action, are allowed. For any official Kumoricon programming held outside the Oregon Convention Center, the policies for the venue where that programming is held apply.)

We are in the process of expanding our accessibility program. For an accommodation request or for any questions, please contact accessibility@kumoricon.org.
