Announcing Shin Kurokawa as Guest of Honor

Shin is a pioneer of the U.S. anime industry, with over 100 anime and live-action titles to his name since the late 1980s. As a co-founding member of AnimEigo—America's first anime distributor—he helped bring Japanese animation to a new generation of fans.
Over the course of his career, Shin has served as a producer, translator, director, and post-production specialist on a diverse array of classics, including Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Bubblegum Crisis, Oh My Goddess!, Code Geass, Lupin III, Urusei Yatsura, Kimagure Orange Road, Vampire Princess Miyu, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, Otaku no Video, Lone Wolf and Cub, Robotech, and multiple Akira Kurosawa films. His expertise in film and media technologies has also taken him to archives, studios, and theaters around the world.
Alongside his industry-shaping work in anime, Shin is an accomplished musician. He has often collaborated with J-Pop and anison stars fripSide, best known for their smash hit "Only My Railgun". Most recently, Shin co-wrote "more than you know" for their "Red Liberation" EP from "The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess" soundtrack, as well as "Turn Night Into Day", a fan-favorite from fripSide's "Infinite Resonance 3" album.
