Announcing Knovice Cosplay as Guest of Honor

Knovice (any/all) is a California-based performer and maker who loves to pull-back the curtain to share the secrets and joy of cosplay-performing. They use their years of theater and dance training to create resources and tutorials so cosplayers of any experience-level can take the stage! From script-writing, to acting, to set/prop design, and more, Knovice covers it all so cosplayers can be equipped to craft their own engaging performances for an audience.

Knovice cosplay has been lucky to both judge cosplay masquerades and compete across the country, most notably winning the Crunchyroll Expo 2021 Rising Star award and Anime Boston 2024 Performance Best in Show. And this year, Knovice Cosplays is representing their country in a global craftsmanship and performance cosplay contest in South Korea with Bird_King as one-half of Holiday Matsuri’s GICOF Team USA.

Not just a performer, Knovice Cosplay is also a self-taught sewist and Janome Maker dedicated to spreading sewing knowledge. They create regular tutorials for Janome and in addition to creating their own tutorials, they co-founded the Cosplay Tutorial Challenge, a global contest that rewards others for sharing crafting knowledge. They’re incredibly excited to see the cosplays and get to know the PNW community at Kumoricon!
