Kumoricon 2008 will be held at a fan favorite—the Portland Doubletree – Lloyd Center. Featuring 476 guest rooms, some of the largest hotel rooms in Portland, a 15-story tower, closely arranged convention space (no long journeys to get around the con!), and nearby food and shopping, you’ll love the convenience and excitement of Kumoricon’s venue!
See our maps page for a map of the convention event space in the hotel, nearby food and restaurants, a map of the guest room hallways, and a photo view of the hotel.
Hotel Availability Status
Unfortunately, our block of discounted rooms for Kumoricon attendees is full, and we are unable to expand it.
If you still need to reserve a room, please email your full name, phone number, and desired dates of stay to email@example.com, as we are maintaining a waiting list for rooms at the attendee rate.
If you need to cancel a room that you have already reserved at the Kumoricon rate, please email firstname.lastname@example.org first to cancel, and please send from the email address you used to pre-register and provide a phone number for verification. We will transfer these rooms to those on the waiting list.
Kumoricon attendees can reserve discounted rooms at the Doubletree through Kumoricon. The hotel code is JPA. Rates are available online and when selecting your reservation. Be sure to insert “JPA” into the Group/Convention Code field, under Special Accounts, or mention it when reserving over the phone. Rates are by room type, not number of people reserving a room. The smallest room type, the 1 queen bed option, is $114/night, and the other larger room types are $124/night.
The group code is valid for reservations made for Thursday night through Monday night. Our group rate is only valid for a limited number of room reservations so if you don’t get the options to select $114 or $124, notify us at email@example.com, and we will attempt to expand our group block for you.
If you have already reserved your room, even if you have gotten a cheaper rate, please contact the hotel and ask to have your room added to our block. You will not lose the cheaper reservation rate, and it helps us to to fill our block and fulfill our obligation to the hotel. If you reserved with a more expensive rate, ask to have the hotel code rate applied to your reservation.
If you are having problems using the hotel web site to create a reservation with the hotel code, please try calling the hotel directly to reserve a room at the Kumoricon rate. Also, if you email us at firstname.lastname@example.org we can look into any difficulties you might be having.
Parking at the hotel for Kumoricon attendees will only cost $5/night and $3/day.
