Kumoricon Lite
Kumoricon is excited to host a one-day summer event: Kumoricon Lite!
When: Saturday, June 27, 2015 – 10:00am to 10:00pm
Where: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland – 1000 NE Multnomah St, Portland, OR, 97232
What: A one-day event bringing you a miniature version of Kumoricon. Featuring a cosplay contest, arts and crafts, our manga library, tabletop gaming, video and LAN gaming (including a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament), a photobooth, AMVs, karaoke, and more!
Cost: $10, at the door (no pre-registration). We accept cash, credit/debit card, check, or money order. (Pay-by-card line may be slower.) Registration opens 9:45am and runs until about 6:00pm. (Events run until 10:00pm.)
Want free admission? You can donate three manga volumes instead! (See limitations and list of excluded titles below. No partial discount for less than three manga.)
Age policies and code of conduct:
Attendees under age 18 are required to bring a signed parent permission and liability release form:
- Fillable version [PDF] for typing and printing your information
- Blank version [PDF] to handwrite your information
Attendees under age 13 must also be accompanied by a parent at all times.
All attendees must follow the Kumoricon Lite Code of Conduct, which is similar to (but not identical to) the Kumoricon 2015 Code of Conduct.
Events and activities:
- Cosplay contest – starts 5:00pm, sign-up at event, first-come, first-served
- Arts and crafts: Cat ear making ($1 each), kanzashi (fabric flowers), origami, wood block printing, tabletop art (coloring/drawing), and more – craft schedule to be posted at event
- Manga library
- Tabletop gaming – open play, plus Learn to Play Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering drafts – schedule to be posted at event
- Video and LAN gaming – open play
- Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament (click for rules) – starts 2:00pm, sign-up at event, first-come, first-served
- AMV showings
- Open karaoke
- Photobooth
- Snacks for sale including Ramune, Pocky, and more (prices range from approximately $0.25-$2.00)
Limitations for manga donations for free admission:
- Manga must be in gently used condition and without markings.
- We accept either English or Japanese manga.
- We accept any rating of manga including 18+.
- Series need not be complete.
- Three volumes are required for free admission—no partial discount for less than three manga.
- We reserve the right to exclude books or titles in our sole discretion. We ask that you arrive prepared to purchase admission just in case.
- Due to the quantities of these titles, we are not accepting Bleach, Naruto, Inuyasha, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, or Fruits Basket.
Manga donations support Kumoricon's manga library.

Kumoricon Lite staff receive free admission. Registered Kumoricon 2015 convention staff are not automatically eligible for a discount or free admission to Kumoricon Lite; however, we encourage you to consider staffing Kumoricon Lite!
