KumoriBall Dress Code

Formal (adjective) Elegant or ceremonial attire for an event, generally suit and tie or knee/ankle length dress.

Come One, Come All,

You are hereby cordially invited to the 2016 KumoriBall! We hope you all will join us for a wonderful time! The dress code will be enforced this year, so here are some basic guidelines for you to choose your attire.

First and foremost, this is a formal event. Attendees not wearing formal attire will not be admitted.

Secondly, shoes must be worn at all times. This is for your safety. No exceptions.
Close-toed shoes are advised.

Thirdly, there is no coat check. Plan accordingly.
Kumoricon is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Formal attire is comprised of suits, slacks, button up shirts, blouses, knee/ankle length dresses, capes, and other worldly accepted ceremonial/military attire. (See Formal wear – Wikipedia)
Cosplays are permitted, provided they follow the above guidelines.

The following will not be admitted if presented:

  • Sweats
  • Shorts
  • Jeans
  • Ripped clothing
  • Skirts/dresses above the knee
  • Bare midriffs
  • T-shirts
  • Tank tops
  • Tube tops
  • Swimwear
  • Bulky props/wings/etc.

Exceptions will be made on a limited case-by-case basis at the door.
