I finnaly started watching the older seasons with Tom Baker as the doctor, and Jon Pertwee. I noticed with the acception of Jon Pertwee back then they kinda treated their compainions as er....idiots. x D

Now that I look at it......that's true. But then the doctors were all "I'm gonna be a dick. STAY IN THE TARDIS HOE"
At least the Jon Pertwee doctor was all "I'll show you some compashion because your not all complete idiots~"

I think 9 and 10 were pretty ok to their compaions like Rose...and that african american lady whos name escapes me....well maybe not her.

Don't get me wrong I'm not ripping on the doctors or choosing favorites between campanions. :0

That's because the Companion is the role that's there to ask the stupid questions and get everything the Doctor says translated into Captain-dummy-speak. You get the occasional bright one but then they just kinda get lost or horrible things happen to them or they're only around for a few episodes.

Too bad.

True, very true. It seems more so all of the humans the doctors come in contact with are pretty stupid though. So I think I solved my own case when the doctors went all jerky, they were just tired of explaining. :0

QFT on both accounts. She's bearable but she rubs me so far in the wrong direction that she may as well not be. And Mickey is just plain awesome. Fights Cybermen and doesn't afraid of anything.

I like to think her confusion as to the definition of 'nothing' says something about how well 10 can snog though.

Also, if you're forcing someone to be a Doctor, could you force them to be Six, not Seven? Because I can't stand Seven. He's like, the creepiest. Him and Mel can go die and Ace can just like, be a better Time Lord than he could ever be. It's ridic to think he's actually the Doctor. :/

But, but, but Seven is totally incompetent and creepy, and Six is nothing like Three... Six is the cat who walks by himself. Three is the posh dandy.

Me and my sister both love Six, though. And really don't like Seven. I mean, he has an excuse: the Rani DID kind of want to cause Six to regenerate into the most loser Doctor possible, and she definitely succeeded. But still. No one that lame deserves a companion as badass as Ace.

Speaking of, someday, I WILL cosplay Ace.

I can see where you coming from. I do, however, think that 6 is more annoying then 7.
You're right, personality wise 6 and 3 are nothing alike. 6 is much less physical then 3 (as 3 is easily the most physical doctor), but looks wise they're similar.

uh I like Eleven a lot because he reminds me loads and loads of Two? I honesty think that if Two were de-aged, you'd get Eleven. <<EDIT: Spoilers>>I will defiintely be cosplaying someone from the Whoniverse. This KC I did my take on Gwyneth from (9/Rose ep w/Charles Dickens) The Unquiet Dead. I'd planned to try to build a wearable, painted cardboard TARDIS for Orycon, but whether or not I'll have the time/$ is a bit up in the air (no pun intended). Just finished Series 3 this week. Haven't seen any of the docs before 9 (except the 1st 2 eps of the 4-part series premier with 1). Haven't seen any Torchwood but should be getting it soon from a friend & love me some Jack...& curious where they went with the Gwyneth actress's new character (Gwen).

My dream cosplay would be to get all body painted & ornamented to be http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Jabe_Ceth_Ceth_Jafe

Jabe from "The End of the World" (9/Rose ep). BTW....is this our 1st meeting with The Face of Boe, or was he in any other eps in the old series? (He does tell the doctor they'd meet 3 times, & there are 2 other such eps in the modern series.....)

I've been watching a bunch of re-constituted 2nd doctor episodes, and I freaking love him.
Also: Looking for a recorder that I can paint. If you have one that I could have, sweet, if not, I'll keep my eyes out at thrift stores.

I just got from the library a book "Inside the TARDIS" (a retrospective) & a DVD "The Collected Specials" (10 on the cover). Hoping to broaden my knowledge base before our Orycon panel.

If I can find a rolling coat rack I think I could pull off something that would resemble Cassandra. Will look when I have $

I'm sick, and couldn't do much today, so I resorted to photoshopping this mostly from memory (except the doctors I don't know very well)
So! If you're wondering which companion to put a friend as, just look through here and decide which one they look most like xD

@ Soundninja: It is indeed an aspiration of mine.
Specifically how I picture doing it (some info below will include spoilers):
(1) Get a coat rack on wheels.
(2) Get some peach/neutral gauzey material that is somewhat see-through.
(3) Get some clamps of some sort.
(4) Clamp the material to the rack so it looks like her stretched skin.
(5) Take a red marker and draw things that look like arteries on various parts of the material.
(6) Figure out where I would tend to stand in relation to the material while walking and have a spot to poke parts of my face through it.
(7) Get face paint to try to match my skin color to the color of the fabric.
(8 ) Watch the ep in New (x 15) York where we see what she looked like in her body, again. Get clothes and wig as close to what she was wearing in that ep, so that when I can't be behind the fabric and rack (e.g., when I'm giving a panel), I can still be in Cassandra cosplay.
(9) Extra special bonus fun, would be if someone who is already cosplaying Rose or 10 could re-enact those scenes in which Cassandra is bouncing back and forth between their bodies (oh the audacious flirting and oh the smooch!!!!!) And/or I'd try to recruit someone to cosplay her minion whom she becomes at the end of the ep....I so totally cried when she as him told her past self she is beautiful........PS THANK YOU FOR THE EPIC COMPANION GUIDE!
