We need a TARDIS for Sakuracon. If I drive I'll have space in the back of the SUV to bring it in pieces, but I hate driving that thing D:

And I'll make sure to perfect the glare. Don't you lot worry about that. Now if only I had a companion. At this rate I'll end up hanging out and smoking hookah with the Steampunkers for all the recognition I'd get as Eight.

Awww <3

We'll find you a companion some day!

Progressing through Torchwood series 1. Best: Greeks Bearing Gifts.
Worst: Countrycide (ugh).
Creepiest smile: That on little Jasmine in Small Worlds when others are being hurt around her.

I'm now very into seeing anyone's Torchwood cosplays.
Carys from Day One could be fun for someone.
Huge props to anyone who could pull off Lisa from Cyberwoman.
Countrycide was my favorite episode! XD
And I would kill for some Torchwood cosplay. umfumfumf

Almost done with Torchwood season 1. Random Shoes and Captain Jack Harkness not only are now among my fave eps of television but also have some of the kisses that seem most sincere to me. Anyone cosplaying from those eps?

OMG Peter Davison &DT are so adorable in "Time Crash" (10 x 5 Children in Need mini-special) that I just watched it 3x! Celery lapel?! *Guffaw*! KFC is so lucky to crossplay that one! Oh and is the Alonzo from "Voyage of the Damned" the same Alonzo as 10 slips Jack the note about at a bar as a parting gesture in a random clip I saw on the 'net? I'd be into looking around for a Heavenly Host mask except it might offend some. But how fun it'd be to LARP. "Information. Your 3 questions have been used."

Rem: You've been posting a lot, my dear xD
I've actually never seen that episode...

I think you guys should know that my favorite doctor who episode is 'The Mind Robber'. It's a two episode. If you've never seen it, go watch it. The final battle is the most epic thing I have ever seen.

Also: I need a Brigidier and Benton! THEN I WILL HAVE ALL OF THEM.
Even if Aine doesn't consider them companions. I kind of agree, but I don't want to admit it
I need to order a wig for 2. Would you say his hair is brown or black?

@Soundy:
I'd say 2's hair is a dark brown. But I might go with black, just because in most of the pictures I found. :0

I was gonna be all "I'D DO IT" But I'm already Victoria. Lawl~

And I came up with the idea. When you cosplay Tegan, I'll do 5. Considering I'm doing Victoria for you. :0

If anyone needs the blueprints to a Dalek, I can put them on Megaupload or something. Mind they're from 1973, so they're not nuWho Daleks (and the price estimate is way crazy, 15 quid to do the entire thing, pshaw) but the booklet is an official BBC publication.

It's got 3 and Jo on the front, so far as I can remember.

Edit: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=758UDAB3

Just go ahead and have it :D

Btw if anyone wants to suggest Q's for trivia or debate, or games, for our DW panel at Orycon, PM me :-) Would you mind if I print and bring your companion chart?

--a Doctor Who con, this year featuring Ianto & Rhys, with panels on how to cosplay a Doctor, among other things. It is probably too late for me to go this year, but I have already lined up 2 "companions" for it for next year.

http://shillpages.com/dw/dwia.htm
--a great collection of still photos of 1-8 & of most companions & of some monsters & aliens that can help folks to pick their outfits & accessories. Unique in that it also has photos from novelizations, etc.

@ Soundy: Oh, ok.  Ainekatt, is it okay with you if I print & show your Doctor/Companion photo guide at my Tiptoe Through the TARDIS panel?

@ Go-to Cheer-Up eps, mine is actually the Time Crash special (5 & 10).

Soundy, Aki-con was this last weekend. Orycon is this coming weekend.

Did you guys know it's really hard to find a cheap pocketwatch on the internet? I mean sure, I could go hunt one down IRL, but that would involve like driving and stuff and that is not my hobby.

Speaking of the novelizations I wish I had a Fitz. A Fitz in a wedding dress. With a sword. ;D

@ Soundy, HECK YEAH I would love for you to be part of the panel, & yeah all my planning is for that (except Chicago, of course).
Only one problem: It is on Friday, at 6pm. Am I remembering you living in the boonies somewhere? Such that it would be hard for you to be in Portland by then?
The Sonic Screwdriver craft is at 7pm.
Here's the update on Tiptoe Through the TARDIS. I've been asking pals to find & bring memorabilia, tell tales from TimeCons & such. I've been encouraging cosplay, fanfics, & filks. I have my filk I sang at Fanfic Bedtime Stories at Creation Station at KC this year, plus, I wrote another one just for this panel. It's from Martha's point of view, singing to "Professor John Smith" in Human Nature/Family of Blood. "Don't you remember, being a Time Lord?!--of course, that's to The Time Warp....
I'm planning some random contests. Trivia, impersonations, debates, and the match-the-hair/accessory/wardrobe to the doctor (also match the dates of performance to the actors' names). Possibly match the companion to the doctor (hence hoping Ainekatt ok's use of her guide). The prizes for winners will be my homemade Dalek cakes. Ingredients: Swiss rolls, fudge frosting, chocolate-marshmallow discs, sixlets candy, mini  Charms pops. I was going to use candy buttons but they're on the far side of town. I haven't tried making them yet nor finished Cassandra. Tried everywhere for wax lips, only one place carried them & they sold out. Probably going with googlie eyes and using glitter glue to make lips. Going with red fuzzy pipe cleaners to make the arteries. Probably spruce it up before the next time I use it. I have the "moisturizer minion" costume that I'll also wear.
Anyone else have suggestions for my panel? Soundy,  would you want to run a comparable one with me for KC? Folks, would there be interest?
@Ritchie, I wouldn't look on the 'net. I would call antique stores or go to Pickadilly when it's at Lane Co. Fairgrounds. Honestly your best bet is estate sales. Especially if you want provenance (i.e., you want paperwork authenticating the era & prior ownership of an antique).

Where is the Dec. 10 event?
Oh I just finished "The Complete Specials" (10's last eps). Feeling like slashing 10/Master. Oh & cosplaying Lady Catherine from Planet of the Dead. Or the "next doctor" from that awesome Victorian ep with the air balloon.

Ah, but for when the monsters were made of glittery bubble wrap. Good times. Definitely good times.

Doctor Who has got me watching all sorts of other British shows and now I'm downloading Sherlock and Blackpool and I have to finish watching Casanova and ohmygod it's so much fun. I might have to watch Life on Mars next.

@ Ritchie: I was all about Red Dwarf & Black Adder for awhile. But Life on Mars, I have been told it is a must for it features John Simms *loves*

Aine, never post that many gifs at once again. You made my browser crash.
