The following are free movie showtimes at Regal, Tues & Weds at 10 am. I work Weds but could potentially have a Tues off (I work some Tues).
Unfortunately the one I most want to see is Muppets from Space, & I work that Tues.
Please let me know if anyone thinks these are worth seeing.
They are 1st come 1st serve & one is supposed to go with a kid I think. I have some 9-yr-olds I've taken to movies for their moms before

I would like to see Hotel for Dogs &/or Muppets Take Manhattan.
I really am that cheezy.

I personally prefer the 17th cuz the Y/Y Picnic is on the 19th and I wouldn't want to stress over another picnic the day right after this one. Plus there's a company picnic on the 15th; so I'm going to be all picnic'ed out by the end of that week. Busiest. Month. Ever. xD;;

I am finished with my schooling for the term, so I have the 17th free now. I am still attending my co-op on Mon, Wed, Fri till 3:00PM, so I will second Tuesday the 17th.

So where is the picnic? I have seen mention of Hendricks park. It is a beautiful location, perfect for cosplay shoots, and does have a picnic area. Another option is to have a photo-shoot at Hendricks park and eat lunch at The Empire Buffet. Of course that costs money, and we are all saving money for con. I guess the question is what are we going to eat? is it a bring your own lunch style picnic, or a potluck?

I suppose we could also have the picnic at Skinners Butte. It is within walking distance of the Owen Memorial Rose Garden, and it has a lot of shade and a view of the river, as well as playground equipment. Not high on my list of things needed, but I see a lot of it in cosplay photos.

As usual, you are always welcome to attend Anime Friday at my place every Friday. If you bring food be willing to share.

Tuesday at noon next week? Weird, noon on a weekday. Well, I'm free for the time being. I can get myself directions to Hendricks Park.

Usually if you want to do potluck, it's good to assign categories. The three main categories are entree, salad, and dessert, in order of priority.

Beyond that, there are drinks, bread, chips and other snacks, plus sides, but those don't make a meal on their own.

Who wants to bring what? Would this mostly be picnic fare? I'm not sure what would be best from my personal menu.

Ooh, I know. Something I can easily make on my own that's quite tasty: Mediterranean salad. Wish I had a better name for it, but it has romaine lettuce, feta cheese, cranberries, pecans or walnuts, and vinaigrette dressing. And I can mix in grilled chicken to make it more filling, if we need a salad entree`. (I can bring a separate container of chicken bites just in case we have any vegetarians/vegans or people who don't want chicken...)
