success! if I get enough orders with sales this week my mom will buy the video camera so all I need to do is get 5 orders! and if I get 10 she said I might be able to get 2 costumes and with 12 I get to crossplay! YAY Ichiru is back on my cosplay list!....a long with zero of course.....

*dances* I need to start working on my costume props xD and they stopped selling the bloody rose so I'll have to find a normal plastic gun

i decided that lights pants can wait. lol. so i'm going to buy pvc pipe and wood glue just incase i need it. i'll get the spray paint later. and i already have the clay. i just need a good reference pic. lol

My parents say I should make Yuuki's scyth and if I do they'll help me so its either make it out of wood or wonderflex either way I'm looking forward to any project

I've gotten really good good with my drawing! I can't wait to see what everyones costumes look like all together at the con! I am super excited!!

okay so I attached to the pvc pipe to the blade, and I am now in the process of reinforcing it.
I used wood glue and more foam to attach it and now I am just gonna coat it with more wood glue and paper mache until I am certain it's strong enough!!

it still bends down a little with the weight of the blade, so I have to hold it.
if it doesn't get any better, I'm gonna have to do some reconstruction on the main part of the bade to make it lighter [just replace the heavy chunks of clay with foam] hopefully it won't come to that, but it's a simple solution =]

lol. tomorrow I'm going to get a wooden dowel to shove through the pipe and into the scythe.....which I just covered up.........SHI*!! [runs and pulls plug with clay off end of pipe]

that was close, good thing I have enough clay left to re-cover that end!
if the dowel STILL doesn't help then I'll put the stupid thing aside until summer when I can have more time to work on it

So I have a question about the photoshoot if we are doing one... Back one like page 3 or so I mentioned that we could do a caremelldansen thing or hare hare yukai? I just want to ask to see if people want to do it if not thats fine but I just thought I would ask.
I found a battery for the camera we're getting it has 255 minutes on it for 68$ http://www.amazon.com/JVC-BN-VF823U-2190-mAh-Rechargeable-Camcorders/dp/B000NAWJSI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1239307589&sr=8-5 and the camera comes with a battery that lasts 90 minutes. I wonder if that will be enough for recording for the con AND future use.

I gotta make my scythe because I HAVE to go as Yuuki since it says Yuuki Kuran on the name tag xD so I gotta run to the store and get supplies for it. or see if someone coulld make it for me since I would probably take forever on it... xD which one? I'll ask the boss(mom) which would be better xD

yay! the glue hardened more while I was waiting to go to the store! it might not even need the wooden dowel now!
I even held it up in my hallway to make sure and it BARELY bended!!!
so I'm gonna had a few more coats of glue, a few more layers of paper mache, and then I'll let it dry and harden for about a week before I add on the clay detailing and spray paint it.

I found a broom that extends to about as much as the scythe is supposed to be tall so I think I am going to ask and see if I can use that just take the broomy part off and then I can take the blade off when I want it to be just the rod... I will see if I can get a picture of it...

YAY! THE SCYTHE IS COMPLETE!!!

turns out it does still bend a little, but I don't really care. As long as it doesn't break which I highly doubt.
I also just ordered the fangs =D

On a side note:
I'm sorry I wasn't dressed as Shiki for the Sakuracon shoot. My wig went to hell, so you know how that goes. On a positive note: Rhe looked awesome in her new Rima wig <3

Sakura-Con shoot was long and awesome (though you guys were on your own for a lot of it).

I really hope to get that wig so I can be fem-Kaname for K-con. x_o I should also get fangs..

Well, they were on their own taking shots, I think. I stuck around for a little bit but then got a call to go say goodbye to some of our roomies, so I zipped out. I was dressed as Soul Eater, so I figured I wasn't needed for the shoot anyway xD
They have a lot of group shots from what I saw on our friend's camera. Diana (our fantastic lady photographer friend <3) got some really good photos from this shoot and I'll post them after she edits them. Just know that it might take about a week. Sorry that we were about an hour late X__X
We didn't realize how much we needed to pack.

yayz good job! I need to go to the store sometime next week and buy some paint then get some clayish looking stuff and I'll be making my scythe!

I am almost caught up with school work and so then I'll start trying to work ahead so I can get my stuff ordered quicker and I also need to look for a summer job next year it'll be better because I'll be working on getting a food handlers liscense so I'll be working at a restaurant.

but I'm really excited for my first con! How much sleep do you guys usually get? I think I'll need to sleep overtime the whole week before the con and I'll need lots of coffee during the con! xD aahh the joys of trying to find the perfect wig...

Due to wig frustration I wasn't Shiki for Sakuracon, BUT I HAVE GOOD NEWS >:3
I've made a wig upgrade so now Rhe and I both have better wigs.

can't wait to see them! I've been working on earning money for the camera and my brothers puppy is making a mess everywhere! she ate a collectors box to one of my cosplay's necklace's but its a good thing she didn't get the necklace! I also found a great way on how to get Vampire knight looking eyes. my mom does a really good job! Right now all I have left is to earn money for camera, cosplay accessories, and extra stuff. I have the money for costumes and wig stuff. the Camera might take a while but it'll be worth it! ^_^

I think me and Kuro are going to be Deidara and Itachi on the day of the masquerade, so we don't have to worry about the unifroms for that. [and we live too far away to go to any of the other dances year round]
