I might be going as Yuuki Kuran for Kumoricon 2009 and so i was wondering who was cosplaying as vampire knight people. This is the first year me and my best friend are going ;D and I'm trying to convince her to go as yori :-\. not much luck though...

I might be Shiki for a day or something, because the photo shoot was a lot of fun last time. Rhe would be joining as Rima, if that's the case. Sydney, who was Zero, might not be here for '09 though D;

shiki is like my favorite boy character and it'd be cool if we could see you guys at the con i just hope i can convince my best friend to go as yori... she was L for halloween but she is a better yori. i hope sydney can go! it'd be cool to see other vampire knight people there. i know im gonna get lost at the con its gonna be at a pretty big hotel.

a photo shoot would be fun and what if we do the hare hare yukai or carmelldansen with characters of vampire knight like yuuki rima and yori (my friend said as long as she gets to cosplay as amu for 2 days she'll be yori) and then zero and some one else (still trying to figure out the characters). or if we do caremelldansen it'd be everyone! that'd be so fun! =D

I like the Hare Hare Yukai idea. It would be pretty awesome if you did it with the main characters, but then it'd exclude me and I love that dance. We'd just have to do it multiple times - that is, if the right people know it.
One thing we did last time was an Ouran-esque "Irasshaimase", extending our hands... That was pretty funny.

what if we do the dance multiple times with all different people each time and we can edit it to make it look like their doing it at the same time but in different rooms! but i dont know where to put my scythe thing....should i carry it around the con? its almost as tall as me..... :-\

its not gonna be that big its gonna be 4 feet and the scythe sharp part is 3 feet its pretty awsome...i wont get it in metal either card board or plastic

i hope my friend can give me vampire knight ending theme songs she has them but is lazy and wont give them to me i am paying for half her costume....ive been saving up for this con since i first heard about it (august 21st 2008) right now i have 50 dollars but minus the ticket money and its 27 dollars so i got a job but i only get like 30-50 dollars a month.... i hope you guys dont mind but me and my friend we are crazy put together we did hare hare yukai and caremelldansen while waiting for the ice cream bar to open at the tillamook cheese factory everyone was staring at us cuz we had no music xD

I would say keep looking for the right colored shoes then.
You have a lot of time to keep an eye out. Plus, they're in style during winter so you're likely to find some ^^

The white color would go well with the night class uniform, hahaha~
K-con is months and months away, though. We do not need to start planning now, nor should we, because I can guarantee you that we won't be the only VK cosplayers there, even though we're the only ones posting here now. As it gets closer to K-con, the interest will surface, and we can plan with those other people 'stead of forcing things on them.
But ideas and suggestions for the photoshoot are great. :0

me and my friend heather will be cosplay as human yuki and vampire yuki [with the giant scyth] on Monday!
She'll have the day class outfit, and I'll have the night class outfit.

im probably gonna either make my scythe or order it made but i dont know where to get it from and i dont know how to make something out of nothing trust me!

I'd be shocked if you actually found a place to buy that scythe, it's only been in about 3 chapters...
I did some research on scythe making, and prop making in general, so I pretty much know what I'm going to be doing.

theres some sites where you can order custom made stuff so if i didnt make it i would order it from one of those sites or at least see if they would make it and if not then i'd need a lot of tin foil.... where did you learn how to make yours? in case i do make mine i'd want to make it decent

Wonderflex is a beautiful thing.
I'd look into that for part of the scythe making.

ill probably use it for the handle but the blade part will be card board and tin foil that'll be fun molding it! :D

and since they are so amazing, some of the staff are thinking about having a system where groups can schedule a time to have a little mini-photoshoot real quick on the stairs, and then open it back up for people to use. that way people could get their pictures, and keep traffic from being clogged.
I also love the hallway with the black and white diamonds on the floor. 0.o
it would look so epic with our black and white uniforms!

I would have used my real hair, but it's a pain to straighten.
that's the wig that I ordered!
And I got it in the color that is shown in the picture. I could have sworn her hair was more red, but now when I look back at the anime I think I might want to tint it a little more brown.
for a refrence pic of the scythe I actually took a picture from the manga, messed around with the lighting a little so I could see the blade, and got this:

then I went over it with a ruler and measured EVERYTHING!
after playing with some ratios, I got all the measurements for how it's going to be compared to my height.

This suddenly makes me so sad that Sydney (our zero from the last photo shoot) might not be able to come >,<
She'll most likely be there for mewcon though. I may or may not (depending on the wig I might borrow) go as ichijou for a bit then, too. Yay for recycling costumes for new characters lol.
Back to k-con '09:
I would TOTALLY be up for trying to get a Rido/Shiki cosplay together. Second season tiiiiime xD
We're also going to get Rima a better wig.
I need to restyle my shiki bangs a little, and the sides need to be spiked a little bit again.

i erased the backround to get just yuuki and the scythe then used sai to edit it and stuff i really like the out come but it could use some TLC on the blade part of the one i drew...

that's one of the pics I was looking at when I was deciding on a wig color.
Her hair is as red as her mothers in that pic, but in the anime her hair was more just plain brown =/
GAH!
and when I was looking at pictures her hair colore kept changing between episodes!
it's go from kanames dark brown to a light reddish brown!
I think I'll just stick with the wig I got.

I wouldn't worry about the color. If it really bothers you, you could always dye it with wig dye.
That's the only reason why my shiki wig isn't the regular brown color that it once was when it first arrved in my mailbox xD

but i should probably order the wonderflex before febuary cuz it'll take me a while to make the scythe.... i'm odering my costume 3 monthes before con i have a count down on my youtube profiles which i should probably update... :( is anybody tired from staying up till 12 then waking up again at like 8 in the morning cuz i am......there's a street light that shines right thru my window and it keeps me up all night going on then off on then off......xO

I like how it made aidou look like he was evil and crazy in that amv. vk is so emo. Im glad the secound season is out, more Rima time! All I need to do is fix my wig and maybe get some blue contacts, and I will be done with my Rima cosplay. I might go as Yuki for a day, or Ruka. I want to go as a guy but then I'd have to buy a new outfit, but Im poor! ah well, cant wait for the masquerade ball! Last year was crazy fun. lastly Did any one dance with us when we did that circul thing?

The only advanteage of getting them done early is taking tons of photos.

in 2010 im probably gonna go as maria kurenai just for the heck of it then go as yuuki.... my mom is afraid that if i get red contacts they'll mess up my vision even more i can already only see at night but during day its like the world has a bright flash light in my face.....i usually go to sleep at midnight then wake up at noon thats MY sleep sceduale and i almost love it i wish it could go to 4 am then sleep til 4pm that'd be cool =(._.)= ..... i used to take sewing lessons but i failed when i tried to make something the teacher said "dont worry you'll get it right the next time" but i never do..... omg i got 2 jobs tomorrow and they're one after the other! weird note here:

i did eye coloring facial touch ups i made her eye look bigger i dont know why though i guess because i wnated to i erased backround put my own specialty in(red backround in different effects) and sprayed some red on the parasol so it looks like blood....i accedentally erased part of the ribbon on top you can tell but yea....

sorry i havent been replying i had to do my jobs from 1pm till now and wow i am really sore....OMG HEADMASTER?! yay...and im glad you guys like the picture and yah you can use it for what ever you'd like i dont mind and i llove to draw i'll show you some of my drawings at the kumoricon and i started drawing on the computer around december of 2007 so ya and i dont have a LOT of patience but as much as the average person....hey my friend and I want to know if we go cosplay at the tillamook cheese factory in tillamook(obviously) if you guys would come its around febuary march time frame around the time we get our costumes.....and we might do one at the lloyd center mall or something...

we've never gone iceskating and now we have a new dog it's a purebreed husky named willow its black and white and she is so adoreble.....and the camera thing will take forever to save up for but i think i'll have me mum pay for half..... so now we just gotta plan when we go to llyod center and i am not ice skating only days we can go are sunday wednesday and friday and maybe monday....

ok so the other day i was talking to one of spiffy girls friends then like five minutes later he said i look like a gradeschooler im like what?!? i am not a grade school i already passed gradeschool like a while ago and i dont have much trouble with getting cosplays dirty as long as you dont give me orange frosted halloween cupcakes my dayclass skirt was a mess after that (i used one of my skirts that isnt very good for the uniform because its in different lengthes) but at least i kept my shirt clean too bad i didnt have the day class jacket..... i cherish my cosplays so i dont like getting them dirty! i have an old kagome costume(friends idea) and i lasted through halloween from 8 am all the way through school to 10 pm and not one patch of dirt! but the socks did get a little dirty because the made us go outside in the mud....

im thinking about getting a custom costume and have it the dress yuuki was wearing at the ending of the first vampire knight season... i wish they had the parasol in black too that'd be nice but beggers can't be choosers and should we wear our cosplays before the con and hang out and get to know each other? i'm probably gonna wear my costume like every 3 weeks up until the con.... i just love cosplaying that much.....and yay for extra holiday tips i hope i can get some extra stuff at the con and i should probably get all my money together to see what i have and if its enough for the costume but it'll probably not be enough im gonna see if i can have my brothers camera he never uses it and plus it has our old 2007 cosplay videos of our random inuyasha thing 0_0 its very scary..... sorry i was expiramenting on font

noo noo Alice Kuran is a TOTOALLY made up character i made o.o yes she has red eyes and brown hair but it will be longer and curled at the ends my dress will be very black or mix of colors that are dark and im skilled at going hair so im going to take some of the hair and moves some flowers thru out it to make it look elegant yet evil looking and for her eyes im getting simple contax and yea i have everything planned out

For the blazer though, I don't really know. For the studs, there's also tacky glue. That's weird that hot glue won't take though. That's what we've used whenever there's been trouble :s

I think I'm going to start making the scythe right after christmas.
I can go and buy all the supplies this weekend, and then I still have a week left of winter break to make it. Which is plenty of time.
Unfortunately though I can't start on the wings for L and Light because my other shipment of feathers still isn't here =[ and I ordered them at the end of November, I even recieved one of the orders [turkey flats] earlier this month, but no wing rounds [ and those are the main part of the wings] GAH!

??? holy cow i am probably younger than everyone but yet i am still taller! what is up with that? maybe because i love vegetables and did ever since i was a kid..... ok so im pretty far enough in the manga to know whats happening and so i think that ichiru being revived but still a part of zero is kinda believable like ichiru being zero's donator and the person who revived him's donator and stuff like that and i still have these awsome fake blood things from halloween where you put em' in your mouth then bite down to where the blood comes out and it runs down your chin and its completly non-toxic so if you swallow it it may taste nasty but you wont die.... we need a ruka i dont like her but still we need one... and umm... more story is ichiru is now a vampire.....

Because a bunch of you all will be going to Sakura-Con and there will be VK fun, and Smile.dk will be at Sakura-Con too and I want to see them. But AX is huuuge and I have never been before (I've been to S-con twice) and it seems more exciting. There are pros and cons to each of them but I'll most likely be able to go to at least one of 'em. :]

if its white put some soap on the stain QUICKLY then rub where it was stained under warm water while rubbing the stain together under the water slowly washing it out :D

no not stain i think just washing the cosplay outfit after wearing it. i say if you can get it professionally cleaned and it usually goes about 1/4 size down or so maybe more depends on fabric.

I had mine taken to the dry cleaners [the owner took special care of it and did it herself!]
I don't know about throwing it in the washer, but hot water and high heat in the dryer are the main causes of clothes shrinking. [that's why jeans feel extra tight when taken directly out of the dryer!]

back to VK i ended up diciding to order most of my stuff from cosplay magic and then some stuff from cosworx... yeah i have almost all the vampire knight episodes... it only takes me like 5 minutes to figure out stuff... we need a new fridge and washer + dryer... VK really is addicting! :P

I actually made it out of this foam stuff that peple would use to seal cracks. I sprayed a whole bunch of it on a piece of cardboard after I made a template, then spent FOREVER trying to peel it off once it was done DX perhaps I'll use parchment paper next time... anyways, then I just carved it down and sanded it, added some layers of wood glue and paper mache to strengthen it, painted it, and then added the clay...which is now cracking because I used to much water in attempt to make it smooth.
It WAS pretty light untill I added the clay, now it's a tad heavier, but very durable I would say [considering how many times I've bumped that little thin point against a wall]
and to fix the cracks I think I'll just add more clay, and then SAND it later to make it smooth instead of water.

Just leave it in longer to make sure. I've used fabric dye before. So long as you follow the directions carefully, everything should be fine.

D.Gray-Man is amazing! it's kinda like a combination of Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist. [I believe it's the same artist]
it's basically the whole excorsists [good guys] vs. the Akuma [demons created by the Millenium Earl]
Akuma are created when a person is in such grief of the loss of someone they loved that they are persuaded by the Earl to bring the persons soul back by screaming their name and the soul returns from the other world and into a machine-skeleton thing which basically turns that soul into an akuma and the Earl then commands the Akuma to devour and take the body of the person who called out their name and brought them back.
Both sides are fighting for Innocence [a weird matter that causes strange phenomenon and gives powers to certain people] The people who are compatable with the innocence are the Exorcists.
hope that kinda made sense! that's basically what the series is about.

The main character moves from Carrington, north dakota to Willamina, Oregon and so far they're in portland oregon eatting at subway....
Intro:
She blankly stared at me wondering what I was thinking. Minutes passed by. I had not made up my mind of what I wanted to do. I sighed realizing she wanted my answer right away.
“I’ll go if I get to go to public school.” I said. I didn’t want to be one of the new home school kids in town even though my mom was persuading me to join home schooling I didn’t like the idea. I might as well get it over with as soon as possible. I was moving to a new town far from the town I had memorized in North Dakota. Leaving was going to be hard but moving to Willamina, Oregon would be harder.
Chapter one
and i chose oregon because i know it and i wanted it to be rainy but so far the plot is what i am stuck at... main characters name is destiny best friends name is Alice and though i am in love with vampires i thought that it was done already and people would think i was copying twilight though i have been brainstorming this story for months and i read twilight only a few weeks ago people would still get the wrong ideas cause the main characters friend is Alice though thats Spiffygirls characters name she's cosplaying as and its her nickname... my brother says zombies but he's in love with zombies so of course he would say that but I'm still confused and I am way off topic.... uhhh Vampire knight....people make twilight trailers with vampire knight clips.... anyways i was thinking i could make it sort of anime ish and have vampires but I don't know how that would work...i am so confused
My brother was my idea man but then he got bored and said he's making his zombie fanfiction so now i don't know what to do...
and i will order my stuff once i get my newest check.

Just remember that you're on limited time. The usual skit is 5 minutes tops (and I'm pretty sure that that's a rule).
That's why most people don't make up a completely new storyline, but instead, expand and get creative with a series (or several different ones) that people already know and can follow along faster and easier.

:( I just realized I missed the dance and I wanted to go to it! Oh well I guess there's next year... and I saw some videos of the dance ::) ... I will be trying to get more jobs in the summer to get the money. I should have my camera worked off for my parents by next month and if I can't buy one then I'll have to rent my brothers for 10$ a day :P I have enough for wig shoes and costume and now I need to work to get my next one and accessories and plastic toy swords... $353.82is what I need and I have 205$ right now... so 149$ is what I have left to get :D both costumes are $96-$99 yay for prices going down! they were at first $126 ea. :( I'm going with day class uniform because I trip on stuff a lot and I don't want it to get dirty...

:P my mom said the girls day class uniform is cute and that I should buy it and by the time of the con my hair will be as long as Yuuki's in the current manga... I just started watching soul eater and so far its pretty good I'm on episode 26... and I may be buying my brothers camera if i give him 20$ a month up until he gets 160$ total I can have it. If i give him the first 20$ today then I can start using it today! :D
Edit: I am contimplating going as tsubaki or Liz for sakura-con 2010 if I go... when I will have more money for other costumes... :P

:( we just got these pants today from JCPenny that we ordered online for my brother and they are way too short by almost 3 inches... the worst thing is when they put your things on back order because then it takes forever for it to get to your house! :(

okay so I attached to the pvc pipe to the blade, and I am now in the process of reinforcing it.
I used wood glue and more foam to attach it and now I am just gonna coat it with more wood glue and paper mache until I am certain it's strong enough!!

if it doesn't get any better, I'm gonna have to do some reconstruction on the main part of the bade to make it lighter [just replace the heavy chunks of clay with foam] hopefully it won't come to that, but it's a simple solution =]

So I have a question about the photoshoot if we are doing one... Back one like page 3 or so I mentioned that we could do a caremelldansen thing or hare hare yukai? I just want to ask to see if people want to do it if not thats fine but I just thought I would ask.

I'll ask the boss(mom) which would be better xD

yay! the glue hardened more while I was waiting to go to the store! it might not even need the wooden dowel now!
I even held it up in my hallway to make sure and it BARELY bended!!!
so I'm gonna had a few more coats of glue, a few more layers of paper mache, and then I'll let it dry and harden for about a week before I add on the clay detailing and spray paint it.

I found a broom that extends to about as much as the scythe is supposed to be tall so I think I am going to ask and see if I can use that just take the broomy part off and then I can take the blade off when I want it to be just the rod... I will see if I can get a picture of it...

Well, they were on their own taking shots, I think. I stuck around for a little bit but then got a call to go say goodbye to some of our roomies, so I zipped out. I was dressed as Soul Eater, so I figured I wasn't needed for the shoot anyway xD
They have a lot of group shots from what I saw on our friend's camera. Diana (our fantastic lady photographer friend <3) got some really good photos from this shoot and I'll post them after she edits them. Just know that it might take about a week. Sorry that we were about an hour late X__X

Due to wig frustration I wasn't Shiki for Sakuracon, BUT I HAVE GOOD NEWS >:3
I've made a wig upgrade so now Rhe and I both have better wigs.

I've been working on earning money for the camera and my brothers puppy is making a mess everywhere! she ate a collectors box to one of my cosplay's necklace's but its a good thing she didn't get the necklace! I also found a great way on how to get Vampire knight looking eyes. my mom does a really good job! Right now all I have left is to earn money for camera, cosplay accessories, and extra stuff. I have the money for costumes and wig stuff. the Camera might take a while but it'll be worth it! ^_^

I think me and Kuro are going to be Deidara and Itachi on the day of the masquerade, so we don't have to worry about the unifroms for that. [and we live too far away to go to any of the other dances year round]

I wish I could do that. I tried to make some vampire fangs once but since one of my canine teeth is switched with another, it wouldn't fit right even after molding because they're not fit for canine teeth :'D
Luckily, nobody can tell that they're switched... unless if those people are dentists looking inside of my mouth lol.

I have more than enough for my costumes and my mum ordered the Camcorder and it will be here either tomorrow or the day after... getting in shape for the con is going good though I feel tired I am really getting used to walking! :D and I might have to wait for some Accessories with my costumes until next year but this year I will be able to get the main part done! I can't paint the pole but I will still bring it if I'm able to go... my parent's are still debating if they'll let me go to a big con.... they think I'll get lost or something XD. I will be popping in and out of here every so often to check on things. And for the photoshoot I don't mind what day it is, its all up to Spiffygirl since I'm tagging along with her :P Wig might also have to wait til next year...

well, I have to re-make my Artemis blade, since the other one ended up being wayyy too heavy, and started to split. I don't really mind though since I wanted to re-make it anyways XD
so this one is going to be more accurate, and much lighter. I have a job interbiew today, so if I get the job I'll be able to start making money to finish off my cosplays, if I don't get the job, then I'm gonna rely on the garage sale me and my mom want to have XD

I found a Fiberoptic wig that has some strands that turn red and blue on the ends... Its white so maybe I can find a use for it...

I'm finishing up my second scythe, this time I shoved a wooden dowel in there, so there won't be any bending with this one [and it's so light to begin with] tonight I'm just gonna slip the pole over the dowel, cover it up, and then do some more sanding finishing on the blade.
after that I just have to paint or add some of the definition.

it's styrofoam XD they use it for insulation, and they have huge sheets of it at Home Depot.
I just basically free-handed it while glancing at my sketch, cut it out, sanded the edges, and am now in the process of layering on wood glue to strengthen it.

I just put the pole on! it doesn't really need much re-enforcing.
I also sanded the blade and coated it with a mixture of wood glue and water =]
tonight I might be able to flip it over and do the other side.

I need to order my costume... I'm going to order the Boys day uniform this year and girls next year and instead of wearing the pants I'll wear a skirt because I already have a black skirt that I use... I need to head down to the bank so I can get my money out for everything, I'm hoping I can get a few more memory cards for the camera since I have only one and it holds about 9 minutes of recording time. It is absolutly perfect for the con. It was my birthday today so I'm just getting over the after math of too much cake >_<.

AAAAAAAHH!!! Sorry I haven't been on but I've started school on monday and I've been taking naps when its computer time and I'm just so excited its draining energy right outta me!! DX ....:D okay so the costume I got is about 2 or 3 sizes too big so I'm going to JCPenny tomorrow or tonight and getting some woman slacks and then I'll be having safety pins on my jacket. I cannot figure out how to get my hair into the wig so I'll need Spiffygirls help on that, since my hair hates me... I wasn't able to get shoes but I have some brand new High-tops that are black and white and they match so I'ma wear those, on Friday me and spiffy have to practice our skit since we're on the list and I gotta empty out my camera, I have to find a back pack that'll fit all my stuff, and I mannaged to get 2 of the 3 kinds of pins for my wig... but the store here doesn't carry wig caps nor wig pins (the special ones XP) so that'll wait until next year, I'm thinking about thinning out my hair before I go so its not too hot since the weather here is kinda roasty toasty. Monday at Noon sounds fine to me since sunday all day is a bunch of skit contest stuff and next year I'm going to make sure I have everything before it comes time for the con = =".... We got a new puppy a few weeks ago and I've been trying to get my mum to fix the jacket at least.... I hope you guys are doing better than me XD I'm freaking out o-o and I'm soooo not ready for this year...

If you go to Wig City in Portland they have wig caps. The pins that you need to pin to your head can be regular bobby pins from a regular grocery store.

I'm getting that wig I wanted this year for my Hana-Kimi cosplay, so I'll definitely put on my VK costume for at least a bit next year and do my fem-Kaname thing. >:3

I have a funny story.
I was filling up my cup with soda at subway right next to the hotel when suddenly, "Zero!!"
I looked all around me and slowly put the cup down and just in time to recieve a hug from someone.
I really hope I can go again next year I had so much fun, a Yuuki gave me a rose but someone took it... I drew a picture for her and gave her pocky so that was cool.
if anybody else saw a Zero with a fail wig and a uniform too big for them, let me know because that may have been me.
If anyone's dressing as Vampire Knight next year also, then I hope we can have a photoshoot and I hope I'll be able to go.
A few buttons wore off on my Jacket from buttoning and unbuttoning it so I gotta put those back on.
(Also if you saw an emo Zero in the Kareoke lounge that may have been me... I had to get up too early so I was so tired I looked emoish...)

I'm going as Ichiru again if I am able to go, depends on if I pass my classes and I'm hoping to have my brother dress as Kaname since my mum might rent a hotel room for us to stay there all 3 days this time.
