I might be going as Yuuki Kuran for Kumoricon 2009 and so i was wondering who was cosplaying as vampire knight people. This is the first year me and my best friend are going

and I'm trying to convince her to go as yori $:-\$ . not much luck though...

I might be Shiki for a day or something, because the photo shoot was a lot of fun last time. Rhe would be joining as Rima, if that's the case. Sydney, who was Zero, might not be here for '09 though D;

shiki is like my favorite boy character and it'd be cool if we could see you guys at the con i just hope i can convince my best friend to go as yori... she was L for halloween but she is a better yori. i hope sydney can go! it'd be cool to see other vampire knight people there. i know im gonna get lost at the con its gonna be at a pretty big hotel.

a photo shoot would be fun and what if we do the hare hare yukai or carmelldansen with characters of vampire knight like yuuki rima and yori (my friend said as long as she gets to cosplay as amu for 2 days she'll be yori) and then zero and some one else (still trying to figure out the characters). or if we do caremelldansen it'd be everyone! that'd be so fun! =D

I like the Hare Hare Yukai idea. It would be pretty awesome if you did it with the main characters, but then it'd exclude me and I love that dance. We'd just have to do it multiple times - that is, if the right people know it.

One thing we did last time was an Ouran-esque "Irasshaimase", extending our hands... That was pretty funny.

what if we do the dance multiple times with all different people each time and we can edit it to make it look like their doing it at the same time but in different rooms! but i dont know where to put my scythe thing....should i carry it around the con? its almost as tall as me..... $:-\$

How dangerous/big/annoying is it? How cool/awesome is it?

Do the pros outweigh the cons? I have no idea, I dunno what it's like. If you think it is worth it to drag it around with you everywhere; do it. If you don't, don't. It's pretty simple.

its not gonna be that big its gonna be 4 feet and the scythe sharp part is 3 feet its pretty awsome...i wont get it in metal either card board or plastic

so are we doing the hare hare yukai thing it'd be fun! if only i could get my brother to dress as some one from vampire knight.... his personality is zero shiki's and kaname's put together....but i dont want him to be kaname.....

i hope my friend can give me vampire knight ending theme songs she has them but is lazy and wont give them to me i am paying for half her costume....ive been saving up for this con since i first heard about it (august 21st 2008) right now i have 50 dollars but minus the ticket money and its 27 dollars so i got a job but i only get like 30-50 dollars a month.... i hope you guys dont mind but me and my friend we are crazy put together we did hare hare yukai and caremelldansen while waiting for the ice cream bar to open at the tillamook cheese factory everyone was staring at us cuz we had no music xD
and lawl those pics are so hillarious. i saw one where rima was trying to eat zero and thats my fav cuz it was funny

the only down side is there's no brown

I would say keep looking for the right colored shoes then.
You have a lot of time to keep an eye out. Plus, they're in style during winter so you're likely to find some ^^

The white color would go well with the night class uniform, hahaha~

K-con is months and months away, though. We do not need to start planning now, nor should we, because I can guarantee you that we won't be the only VK cosplayers there, even though we're the only ones posting here now. As it gets closer to K-con, the interest will surface, and we can plan with those other people 'stead of forcing things on them.

But ideas and suggestions for the photoshoot are great. :0

I'd be shocked if you actually found a place to buy that scythe, it's only been in about 3 chapters...
I did some research on scythe making, and prop making in general, so I pretty much know what I'm going to be doing.

theres some sites where you can order custom made stuff so if i didnt make it i would order it from one of those sites or at least see if they would make it and if not then i'd need a lot of tin foil.... where did you learn how to make yours? in case i do make mine i'd want to make it decent

I know! the stairs are AMAZING!
and since they are so amazing, some of the staff are thinking about having a system where groups can schedule a time to have a little mini-photoshoot real quick on the stairs, and then open it back up for people to use. that way people could get their pictures, and keep traffic from being clogged.

I also love the hallway with the black and white diamonds on the floor. 0.o

and I get my wig for christmas! But I'm worried the one I told my mom to order might be a little too red

its pretty nice but i've always had problems with wigs because of my super thick and frizzy hair

I would have used my real hair, but it's a pain to straighten.
that's the wig that I ordered!
And I got it in the color that is shown in the picture. I could have sworn her hair was more red, but now when I look back at the anime I think I might want to tint it a little more brown.

for a refrence pic of the scythe I actually took a picture from the manga, messed around with the lighting a little so I could see the blade, and got this:

then I went over it with a ruler and measured EVERYTHING!
after playing with some ratios, I got all the measurements for how it's going to be compared to my height.
[the blade itself is alomost 5 ft long!!]

That's a BEAST of a scythe lol but it looks fun to pose with!
As for me, I'm desperately determined to go as rido/shiki because I already have most everything from my plain shiki cosplay. I just need some contacts and, if I have the time, that casual outfit that he wears...
it would be neat to be a bad guy for the photo shoot.
