Haha, my friends do kind of the same thing, but for me it's Doctor Who and Batman.

Thanks, we should keep a tally of people who are interested, I guess.  I think whatever's the most popular series among us should be the first group we attempt, if any.

I just wanted to be realistic: if we do a cosplay theme, it'll be really tough to make sure everyone in the group has a suitable costume, so it'll probably be just a few of us with themed costumes.

And if we don't worry about a theme, then I'd assume everybody already has some kind of cosplay in their closet, but there wouldn't be anything special about us at the con except that we're all from the Eugene area. (UNLESS, of course, we entered a skit into the cosplay contest.)

Outside of the con, of course, we can have costumed get-togethers and have fun, and that will be its own reward, eh?

Um, I understand that there's no reason to exclude people based on costume, but is there anything wrong with trying to arrange a themed cosplay?  I didn't intend to impede on anything else the group wants to do.  I just thought it'd be fun.

I was just pointing out that the group could be flexible and do whatever without the obligation of sticking to only one theme. But that doesn't mean it's not an option. A portion of us who like the same series can get together and cosplay as a sub group. :3

Well, no, it wasn't you who said that.  Just some were worried it'd distract from the casual hangout idea.  I certainly hope it doesn't.

True, but when I was suggested a themed group, I meant at a con.  It's a bit late to organize anything like that for this year, but there's always next year.  And Sakura Con.

(Hmmm. Just realized, I don't think there's a Phoenix Wright photo shoot scheduled at Kumori, either. Shoot. Phoenix Wright is pretty big at Sakura Con. Wonder how many there'll be at Kumori.)

But just to reiterate: I am NOT suggesting we all put on matching costumes and go out in the woods to take pictures. We can go out in the woods, and costumes would be great. Photos may happen.  But there won't be a dress code.

If some of us happen to be going to the same convention, though, we could do something on the side. Make sense? After all, what is a cosplayer if not thinking about their next costume?
