Forum post guessing contest:
Rules: Read a post from the forums out loud. The person who made the post (if present) must not say anything. Others can try and guess who the post is by!

Name the threads Contest:
Read out a section (eg. Spam, cosplay) and people guess 5 threads they think are at the top AT THE VERY MOMENT. BUT NO CHECKING BEFOREHAND~ contestants must be internet free 15 minutes before the contest!
if 2 or more of the 5 are correct they get a prize and/or move on to the next round~ (judges/person running will need a computer and internets)

Guess the person contest: (will need some in panel prep to find who is there):
Have 1-5 contestants. (OR BE MEAN AND MAKE IT A HOT SEAT

). Read out someones forum name. Contestants try and find the people. ^^

I have another idea.

Say a post/quote from the forums. Nothing generic, something pretty original, then list off three members of the forums and the contestants have to guess which one said it. You get ONE guess. If you get it wrong you are disqualified. Five-six people a round, 'buzzer' type answering system but with raised hands.

If a question is asked and the person who buzzed in gets it wrong they are eliminated, next question. You do not say the same quote/question twice unless it's been quite a while.

Or maybe this point system instead:

Have contestants write their answers. All who got them wrong are eliminated. Those who got it right all get points. The winner of each round moves on the the next round.

(I figure for this we can use dry-erase boards or paper or chalkboards.)

I am hoping to get a Live Events room where we can get wifi next year so we can hook up a computer to a projector. You would have to make allowances for sticky threads.

Contest Idea: BUMP contest

Contestants craft a sign with dimensions no less than 10"x7" and no greater than 36"x24" on the detailed surface which says "BUMP" in the most elaborate fashion possible.

Entries will be judged by a panel of 4 judges, who will each grade on the following scales:
Creativity (concept): 0-10
Quality of Work: 0-10
Effort: 0-5

For a composite score ranging from 0 to 100.

BUMPs must be crafted prior to the event.

So I've got another idea for a contest, I might run myself.

It's a contest for who can take part in a conversation the longest without changing the subject! The best thing about this kind of contest is that it'd be really fast.

I think I'd run it myself to make sure that the topic is something reasonable and not too obscure.
