You're not obligated but I'd love it if you would! ^.^

And I'm still unsure of what I'll do. I may just be the manager. I have enough time to figure it out. xD

xD Alright, I read the colour thing. >.> I just had to call purple first, y'know? =^^=

Anyways, it sounds like a good idea. And so is taking money. . >.> We need to somehow pay for it, yes? It wouldn't have to be that much for each person.

Colleen do you want to be Usui and just let me handle everything important, like applying for a pannel? I've had a bunch of ideas anyways, and I could just be the shadow leader.

You wanna be next Seraph?  8)

A different color for every different name seems like it could be a bit excessive, especially if a bunch of people sign up. You'd run out of colors after awhile ;)

Oh I have a bunch of ideas for all of this... *_*

Awww...but I wanna plan too...>.> And I dunno if you had read it but if I was either Usui or the manager it'd be easier to keep everybody in line and whatnot. And no, we're not gonna have an excessive amount of maids. So we won't have an excessive amount colors.  :-\

Colleen- I was just saying that I'll help you with things that you're unsure about, like applying for panelship and whatnot.

Honestly I don't think we should serve food at all. If we did we'd have problems with hotel catering, and we'd be competing with Nekopan, and the Ouran Tea Party. I think that we should have a Maid Cafe minus food.

We could have tons of maid related activities though, like we could do maid pictures with the customers for example. Also, the customers wouldn't have to pay anything, so that'd be more incentive to come.

Also we definitely need to call our customers master, and all that great stuff, so it's more authentic. I'd like to train all of our maid hosts before we have the actual panel :)

But you're not allowed to buy anything in bulk within a hotel- they want to cater everything which costs a lot of money.

I just think it'd be less stressful and more fun if we just played maid games and stuff.

A point system would be a good idea :D

So shall we think of fun Maidu activities now? :3

- Take a picture with a Maid! Get your picture taken... with a maid!

There are others that I can't think of but that's a start!

And we need to stay in character, that'll be what makes our Maid Cafe Panel the best ever!

We're not sure on prices right now. It's not gonna be too high but not too low. We've got almost an entire year to decide.

I think allergies are the main thing to worry about.  will have to either avoid them or put up a warning.

Colleen if you're going to make decisions like that then I don't know if I'll be able to participate in this.

Talking with various people involved with it, the Ouran Tea Party (which had food from Nekopan and various other sources) came at the expense of Kumoricon itself. Because the food cost so much it almost was unable to come back for '09. You know what my favorite thing about the Tea Party was? It wasn't the food or the tea, it was the hosts and their interactions with each other and the guests.

It'd be more cost efficient and less stressful to have a foodless maid cafe, but if you want to disregard all of that then all I can say is good luck.

Alright, Kameko. I do agree with you about food and drink, it would be cheating if we called it a maid cafe but didn't serve food/drinks.

And about allergies, at the tea party last year I got an allergic reaction 'cause I didn't know the pocky on the pocky cupcakes had almonds in it. D: So we should be specific if we get something like that what the ingredients are, if it's something broad like pocky.

...so if I say food, you'd leave, and if I said no food, I'd be saying Maid Cafe without the Cafe...good gawd...explain to me again why the Tea Party almost didn't make it this year? Because of cost? Or because you have to buy everything from the hotel. Or what? You're not being very clear on this. Remember, I'm dumb. I need to know these things.

IF we even end up having a maid CAFE. Yes, we would put cautions in a pamphlet or something.

personally, trying to serve drinks is the least to try for as a cafe I think

as for the characters, I don't think the characters from maid-sama are quite as appealing to a large auidence then ouran host club is.

as another way of doing it, maybe forgo the cafe and make a delivery similar to pocky club?

It was cost. It cost too much for all of the cupcakes, and it cost too much for the tea and the hot water that had to be catered from the hotel.

The reason I don't think we should have food is because NekoPan Maid Training Panel and the Ouran HHC Tea Party each already have food, so if we did it as well it'd just be more of the same. And if we had food we'd end up wasting most of our hour giving food to the guests instead of playing maidu games, and have a splendid maidu time.

Maid Cafe' doesn't mean it has to be food related. Maid Cafe's are known for the maids, not the food, so highlighting the maid aspect wouldn't neccesarily be a bad thing.

I think something simple like Pocky would be doable, and maybe we could serve Ramune too? :D

And yeah, delivery is bad O_O

I never said we had to have complicated foods there that take hours to make. It was a suggestion. That's what this is for. ^.^ So yes, essentials are pocky and drinks. We're just trying to see if more would be possible.

Lawl, Tom recruited me and Kori to help him deliver a pocky gram and the person wasn't even in their room XD

Pre-packaged things like pocky and ramune are okay, but something that needs to be boiled, like tea would be a major hassle.
