I know everyone has one. I just started watching Tsubasa Chronicle and I know I will end up crying at least once before the series is over. Have you ever cried while watching anime? or had an anime that really got to you in some way?

yeah FMA. when he got stabbed. not going to explain anymore since it would then be a spoiler to some. I think I've cried on a couple other occasions. can't remember the series though. tsubasa does seem like a series that might make you tear up a little.

For me It was Death Note and Paradise Kiss Alot of things happen in anime that Im sure alot of pple dont want ;_;

I'm really sentimental during anime for some reason. Off the top of my head things in manga/anime/video games that have made my cry (potential spoilerz):

- Shanks losing his arm in One Piece
- Mugen, Jin, and Fuu walking their seperate ways in Samurai Champloo
- Shino falling into a coma in .hack//ROOTS (.hack//G.U. was a very watery affair for me as well)
- Rukia's flashback to her early days as a soul reaper with Kaien in Bleach
- Asuma's death
- Hikaru's unrequited love in Ouran
- Avatar the Last Airbender finale (specifically Zuko's reunion with Iroh, Sokka and Toph thinking that they won't make it, and Aang and Katara's final kiss)

oh man I got close to tears during that part of samurai champloo. I was like 'what? no this can't happen!' ha ha it has to be a really good series to me and the sad part has to be just right.

oh yeah...

-fma at times, well, lots of times, especially with hughes T.T
-wolf's rain. the last few episodes had me bawling. sooo sad, but such a good anime.
-not particularly anime, but i cry every time i watch advent children, at the end with aeris... gets me every single time. along those lines, lots of games have made me cry... but that isn't really anime, lol.
-surprisingly, when i used to watch toonami, i think i cried, or almost did, during dbz when they were on namek fighting freiza and i thought they had killed off krillan. they played that episode on a friday and i had to wait till monday to find out if he was ok or not. worst weekend ever... lol. i think i cried during other parts of that show too *is lame but it's ok* hehe
-at the end of azumanga daioh. last episode was so bittersweet. it had it's usual humor, but i didn't want the show to end, plus the characters cried too.
-during the last episode of ninja nonsense when you think shinobu won't come back, but she does... lol.

i'm sure there are others, just can't think of them at the moment...

And FMA made me cry multiple times.

I can't believe no one has mentioned this but Cowboy Bebop....the last episode

also wolf's rain and when Asuma died as well....I cried hard in both of those... OH and when Zabuza died too ;_;

I know. it's one of the best anime series ever. it just had a wonderful plot and every experience was so great. :3*sigh* I'm just so connected to it.

A lot of anime made me cry xP I cry easily for some reason... A lot of times it's in happiness, though |D

I think... AIR did? And Haibane Renmei, for sure. I think Wolf's Rain did at a point, and FMA... Ouran might've at the end, but I forget.

And Higurashi no Naku Koro ni made me cry a little tonight... only because the video kept stopping every second to load >.>;;

Well I just did but that is beyond the point- I cried when I saw that and all my co-workers who have seen it have cried too.

The Place Promised in Our Early Days and Voices of a Distant Star by Makoto Shinkai are both tearjerkers. My eyes water at most moments of heavy emotion, ever since i stopped taking antidepressants when i was 18. But genuine tears, those are rare. A few scenes in EVA made me cry.

Ending of the second season of Digimon. Not the epilogue, but the actual ending, with Oikawa meeting his partner only to die a minute later.
(yes that's a massive spoiler, but it's been so long and no one gives a damn about him anyway, which is a shame)

I cry easily. Yes Grave of the Fireflies was one of them. I cried the first time I watched it. I can watch it again and not cry.

I cried almost non-stop through the last two episodes of Pita Ten.

I was crying last night as I watched Full Moon, episode 34. SPOILER The old man dies and the shinigami takes his soul. Mitsuki wanted the shinigami to wait until the mans wife's blue roses had bloomed. He wanted to see them bloom before he died. She was told that Fate couldn't wait. When it was time to die, it was time. Mitsuki had to face the fact that she herself was destined to die in less than a year. Made me cry. I haven't finished the series yet. I have a feeling I will be crying some more this evening.

It isn't an anime, but I always cry watching Disneys "The Fox & the Hound". The part where she is taking Todd out into the woods to leave him in the wild. I cry every time.

Yesh, this will be a bit of a list.

And spoilers are everywhere, so beware.

One's I can think of:

Pokemon: Episode when Pikachu almost leaves, where Ash is stuck in a snowstorm and has to build a cave, and the first and third movie.
Wolfs Rain: When Toboe died was my biggest. As well as when Tsume did. Or Cher.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: When Kamina died, a few times here and there in the series, then the last few episodes.
Zoids Chaotic Century: When Shadow dies right in front of Raven.
Cowboy Bebop Movie: A few bits here and there. Love that movie.

Ghost in the Shell: Any sad scene with Togusa or the Major or Batou. Or the Tachikoma! That whole series had me being a cry baby.
Scryed: Ending.
Dragon Ball GT: Verrrry end. Last few minutes. AND THE MOVIE OF DRAGON BALL GT. I WAS CRYING. THE WHOLE TIME.
FMA: The episode where it shows them burning down their house.
Digimon: Randomly. And the endings.

For manga, if it counts...

ANGEL SANCTUARY! Oh god, hardest I've ever cried for a book.

but here is one that made me cry that i am suprised no one mentioned
tri gun, wolfwood

my brothers were watching that episode after my best friend died and i was bawling

not an anime but end of moon child will make me cry,
fruits basket anime made me cry, momiji's story

and manga will make me cry too, this one vol when akito was beating up momiji because he refused to get toru,then toru stands infront of him protecting him, and gets scratched acrost the face

and the newest volume :'(the roster agg!!

I need to avoid this thread- too many spoilers @_@. Can people please post spoiler warnings?

I don't want to go into specifics, but there were a few scenes from Revolutionary Girl Utena that made me tear up a little. There was also a particular scene in Last Exile that made me cry... Neon Genesis Evangelion also made me cry- not from sadness, but from utter confusion. It took me a while until I "understood" it. There was also one scene in Serial Experiments Lain that made me cry. I think the most I've ever cried was a particular death scene in Trigun

And on a completely unrelated note, no matter how many times I've seen The Two Towers (the Peter Jackson version), the scene where the Ents are marching towards Isengard just gets me bawling like a little baby. I mean the huge epic granduer of their sacrifice; the loud, booming operatic score; the beautiful, lush scenery of Middle Earth and all the emotion... it just brings tears to my eyes

My wife cries alot when we watch anime. And yes FMA made me cry my eyes for the first time ever with an anime. Not sure I have cried to many times after that. Samuri X (aka Kenshin) was pretty sad. There are alot of anime that affect me emotionaly, not just saddness but anger too. Those are always the best ones, the anime that can get you emotionaly invested in it.

Very few anime have made me cry. Sure, when wolfwood dies I choked up. I felt for him, I was upset but didnt cry.
I cried at the end of grave of the fireflies, the end of saikano and dont tell anyone.... the end of the second card captors movie.

Yeah, anger in anime. Maybe we should start a thread on that one also? What anime made you wish you could pulverise the bad guy? I have definitelly felt that way in a few of them. Isn't it amazing how a drawing and a bit of music, along with some exceptional voice acting, can just make your emotions go bonkers?

the first one to ever make me cry was... Kimi ga Nozomu Eien or Rumbling Hearts at the end of the first ep....if i remember right that one ep made a wave of like depression or something to that effect across japan ... o.O or it just mite be here say ....

Third movie was great too.

...and I'm gonna seem like such a wuss for this, but there's a shot in the *second* movie that gets me every time--when Jirarudan (the collector) finds the one remnant of his once glorious collection, stares at it for a second, and looks out over the ocean. He says (at least in English, he's silent in Japanese although it's perfectly in character for him to say this) that he'll start over...but you know he can't. He's ruined and he can't accept it, just like he couldn't accept the world outside his ship, and that's what caused the whole mess in the first place--his disconnection from anything that wasn't his treasures.

...and I could go on about him but I won't, because I have elsewhere.

They both died.. two diffrent deaths (one for Manga and one for Anime, each surrealy diffrent from the other)

and when she tried to shoot him... Settela, and then a few other scenes... that as a sad anime/ manga

but i still love it more than any other <3

you know what? samurai champloo makes me cry a lot some times. mostly when I watch the scene where mugen goes through hell. I dunno why, it just gets to me. and that song makes me so emotional.

Code geass had me absolutely bawling in the end.... I knew wht was going to happen because of a spoiler I accidentally found... but... It still hit hard ;_;

I want to cosplay Lelouch, but I'm afraid if I see Nunnally at the con I'll just be in tears all over again....
