I got my contacts yesterday, so today I want to re-do the sleeves on my jacket and finally hem the collar. That way I can take a test shot

I just remembered I also wanted to make wefts and attach them to the sides of my wig since Rachel has those two locks of hair on either side..

Tried my Chane dress today for the first time since I started losing weight. The dress fits MUCH better now compared to when I wore it to Sakuracon. Planning sometime this week on going in and adjusting some of the detailing around the bust and straps, but I'm really looking forward to making improvements on this cosplay.

Speaking of which now that I've tried contacts (wore them for the first time at S'Con) I'm planning on getting some that are actually closer to Chane's eye color as opposed to the generic brown ones I used for all my costumes to test out how I felt about wearing them.

You can see in this pic what I mean about the change in fit from then and now, also the difference between my contacts and her actual eye color. =/

You guys seem to know a lot about contacts so any tips on places to get good ones? (Going to look at pinkyparadise I know for sure since you guys seem to like them.)

Ohhh... I like the first ones a lot. I think I might just drop the $20 and see how they work. Nikki helped me find a website the other day that seemed to have a decent pair of golden contacts, but it doesn't have any pics of it in use which makes me a bit nervous. I can always try them as a back up if these pinkyparadise ones don't work though. =]

I think it's a smart idea to be nervous about a site that only offers photoshopped or just plain art for their product images. It's one of the reasons I love pinkyparadise - most of their contacts have real photos. I'll know what I'm getting.

However, you could also try googling people wearing the contacts from that other site and see if anyone has posted images. Soompi on photobucket has a large gallery of folk wearing contact lenses as well.

Gonna agree with Ren here, also notice that those lenses say "Enhance" on them. That means they are meant to enhance your natural eye color, not cover it up.

Yeah I tried googling the brand the other night and nothing much can up aside from links to that site so it seemed a little sketch.

Ended up just buying the pinkyparadise pair... and if worse comes to worse I can always buy a different pair of contacts before next con. =]

Let us~ start figuring a meetup day out. Day 1 is completely full for me and there is no way in hell I can try to push anything else in there. So would Sunday or Monday work better for you guys? And how about a time? We can try to do a lunch or a dinner that day after the shoot, it really doesn't matter to me :3

Also for TD people involved in Cave Story, whatever day this is decided the other one will be Cave Story.

So I got my new contacts.... they're still not really the color I was hoping for, but they fit A LOT better than my old 'freshlook' lenses and I think look a bit lighter than them also.

So eh, it's an improvement at least (I realize now I probably should have moved my bangs out of the way for this.)

A friend of mine (Nikki, you met her at AX when we came up to you in the prereg line) is coming to kcon and after getting like halfway through Baccano! decided she needed to cosplay as Ennis to go with my Firo so she might have that ready by then!
