If I can make it up there, can I join in? I have no cosplays, I just love getting photos (or videos) of this stuff. It might be good if we had a list of people and cosplays, as well, with some definite times. Just throwing it out there as an organization freak. (And I'd be taking the green line from Clackamas. So, yeah.)

I guess you can come, it is going to be more of a personal thing though. There will only be two cosplayers so if any other show up they will have to wait till the two that scheduled the photo shoot are satisfied.

ya it is I did a photo shoot thingy before mewcon of 2008/2009 I was going to go as sweeney and got my costume all updated from halloween and what not and worked on it like hell tara does not know what she is talking about ... but then she used my sweeney todd shirt for her kakshi cosplay and destroyed it

so I need to get a new shirt and I destroyed the wig because I was going to use it for my edward cosplay but the length of the wig was to short and so the wig is a pig thing of crap that is laying in my bedroom like a pile of poop lol

lololol Thanks holmes~ I'm not very adept in the makeup department and I'm trying to change that.

I agree that makeup's generally a must for cosplay, though of course there are lovelies out there who can get away without wearing it.

I don't think she looks evil at all. If she didn't have the eyeliner you couldn't really see her eyes too well. It is a common practice with theater and cosplay as well as modeling. You need over the top makeup if you want features to stand out like eyes.

I think her eyeliner really adds to the costume, and it really tends to help on lots of costumes to enhance facial features with makeup! ^^

I finally got some pictures of my Neo Queen today! I've had this cosplay done for a while but not the chance to wear it. This was the first time I put it together, worn all the pieces at the same time. Since I got ready on site, and forgot a mirror, this is the first time I've seen it. Lol

I tried it. The effect wasn't coming out the way I wanted it to, so I said, "Screw it!" and added a vignette.

Actually, I think it would've looked good, too, it was a problem on my end... I couldn't get the colors right, the size, the look, everything kinda dissolved together.

I think it is, it helps bring out the character more. I also like how it is a bit of a smoggy brush you used.

EDIT:

Also, (stretching out the page xD) this was about as far as I got on the burnt edges. I just couldn't get them looking right...

Maybe I'll just print out a copy, singe it a little, then scan it in.

Use a texture over it :0

Like find a picture of scratched up wallpaper or something, layer it above that in photoshop, and play with the opacity and/or layer modes (dodge or multiply maybe)

no I dont have a pic or dante its my sisters costume I was vergil in 08 and now we are switching but I am not going to be dante this year it did not work out
