Yes, an actual question about the event not my personal abominations. If this was answered already, I'm sorry for having to ask it again. And I'm sorry for bringing my personal life into an event meant to be fun for everyone regardless of how old they are or how they're doing in life. Heh, actually if I had the money for the pieces, I could make a very good Cloud Strife.

But on to my questions:
Just wanted to ask if doing both the speed dating and string game is possible? And from the rules I read in another post, I understand calling directions to the blindfolded person holding the string but that means half of the people will know who they're getting. I guess I don't understand the game entirely yet. I'll just have to come and see for myself.
Which means regardless of what happens between now and the event, I am set on going. And to grant the wish of a tradition lost in elementary school, I might just bring something for everyone.

Lol I read up on the fable of the heart sting thing and if your connected the whole day you'll stay together forever. =3 Or something along those lines. o.e

The majority of people going to this are single. Most people who are in a relationship wouldn't go to a party like this.

I also wanted to add that my personal opinion on this is to have it a private party at someones house. You really don't want to be advertising that girls (of any age) are going to be speed dating on the internet. Anyone can read it and show up. It's a very scary thought. And because of that I might not come just for the fact that I care about my own safety.

Connected for a whole day...how many people in the shows that have been aired have been stuck together at least once and survived it? I'd be up for that challenge. But it also depends on what you mean by one day. As in sunrise to sunset, or 12 midnight to 12 midnight? Never did the speed dating thing, but for everyone else's sake I'll vote it down. But I'm still interested in the string thing. Well...we could do the speed dating game, but the question is how serious is everyone about these games? Are we actually trying to hook people up or are we just seeing what would happen. Also no matter what season or holiday, we MUST do a glomp circle.
If we do it at someone's house, who is it going to be and would we be meeting somewhere then carpooling there?

Glomp Circle is a staple of meetups with at least 8-10 people. Well again the event is still a bit early. Things could change over two months.

So we're trying to have this Pre-V day event at Bridgeport? Parking lot would be good as long as you give up to medium sized glomps.
Chibi glomp: a gentle hug

Big Glomp: full speed run and hug possible knockdown

Ultra Glomp: full speed run and leap tackle hug

Yeah a Parking lot is a very very dumb idea. Cars DRIVE in those. Like I said before we would have to leave Bridgeport. There is no where within the mall to do it. I don't think we really could have a glomp circle =/

I was saying that I would rather do it at a house to keep strangers away but I am not going to plan it. I will be worried about school then. I really am not planing events for a while. Not till after Sakuracon at least. I MIGHT do one during spring break but I doubt it.

I could set a plan for one but my house isn't exactly big, and I never got to be as close to people as you have. Last time we tried Stella Olsen Park in Sherwood everyone said it was too far away. Well if we can't do it at your house could we do it nearby your house, as in Cook Park in Tigard?

Let's consider weather then. If it rains we'll raid Bridgeport. If it's clear we'll go to the park and glomp and tie strings to stuff and whatnot. If we're at the park and it rains later on in the day, then we'll go to Bridgeport for the rest of the time.

There's a park near Bridgeport in downtown LO called Millennium park XD It'd be a good place to go for a glomp circle. There's also a park down on 43 near the river that would be a good place for a glomp circle.

I wouldnt know, thats what confuses me cuz alot of the time its a guy and a girl and being different genders it would be very difficult to go to the bathroom. o3o Thats just what the internet and ranma 1/2 did/said >_>

I would probly get tired of being connected to someone all day enless it was like crazy fangirl love or something like that. Or a friend ^^

It wouldn't be hard if you have a long enough string. If someone asks why you have a string on your finger trailing into the other bathroom, just tell them you're waiting for your friend. Or out of respect, the person waiting could take the loop off the other's finger and wait, then put it back on when they get out. Such a thrilling challenge yet no one to take them on with.

I was talking of the actual red string myth that your connected spiritually. only people who can see auras and read emotions can see the string connecting you. you can maybe feel it if your in tune but the an actual red string(even though our game is going to include that).
