Hitchhiker's Guide series. The ending's like hitting an invisible wall. And dying. And not having an afterlife. It's just over, and you get about 2 paragraphs in which everything ends abruptly. I sat there staring at the blank pages in the back of the book for, like, an hour.
Bear in mind that I hadn't slept in 3 days at that point as well, because I had been reading the book for about 80 hours straight.

Is addiction a legitimate excuse for abstinence from an activity that's typically considered totally healthy?
