I wanted to warn as much people as possible......

If you live in Salem DO NOT go shopping or near Lancaster today!!!
My sister's friend just called on the phone, she is stuk in the mall. Bomb threats have been made on Roths, Salem Hospital, and other stores.
One bomb went off in Roths but luckily didnt start a fire and a furniture shop is on fire right now.

My sister and I are keeping a close eye on news channels, but nothing yet.

Apparetly D Street has also been theratened. There are a bunch of police surrounding Roths, and those in the Mall cant get out because police are re-directing traffic throught the mall parking lot.

I dont know If this is related or not, but apparetly the news says were on Red Alert, they found plans for a flight jacking or something to do with bombs and a flight coming from England to here. So at the air port no liquids are being allowed onboard, not even water, except for baby foruma and something else.

Another friend of my sisters says she is coming in from West Salem and she can see smoke.

Yeah, some of my friends do as well.....

She told me that Fire Fighters are starting to block off Lancaster... but she didnt say anything about evacuation. I dont see why they wouldnt though!!!

Ugh... now im not sure whats going on because they found bomb plans to blow up more American planes and apparently we are on High Alert.

Possible pipe bombs dismantled in Salem
Police disabled two suspicious devices resembling pipe bombs in the Salem area Thursday afternoon, one in the parking garage of the Salem Hospital and the other in the parking lot of a grocery store.

The devices caused limited evacuations and tied up traffic for a few hours.

The first report came in at 11:53 a.m. when a visitor to the hospital noticed a wire wrapped around the mirror of her car. When she pulled on the wire, an apparent pipe bomb rolled out from beneath the undercarriage of the car. Police said they believe it to be an actual pipe bomb, but said its construction remains under investigation.

The Salem police bomb squad responded and separated the device into pieces by shooting it with a water cannon, said Lt. Steve Bellshaw.

The second device was reported at about 12:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the Roth's IGA store at 702 Lancaster Drive Northeast in Marion County. It also appeared to be a pipe bomb, said Deputy Michael Sommer. The Oregon State Police bomb squad responded and disabled the device about 3 p.m.

Several nearby businesses were evacuated and traffic was rerouted while the investigation continued. The Salem Hospital was not evacuated.

Liquid bombs, so I heard. O.O My grandma had to check in all of her water and stuff. (she lives in florida, but came here for my dad's birthday) I heard all of the flights from england were canceld.

i think the two events are unrelated, as the bombs in salem seemed to be a couple teens, and the Liquid bomb stuff came out of england...

I myself am from gladstone, and salem is a few hours away. Ive heard nothing on the 5'o clock news yet. Strange...you'd think something this important would be on right away! Those losers. -_- what will come from all of this besides senseless violence?! this world is corrupt! (yes, im quotting ilpalazzo. ¬_¬)

Yeah thats what my dad said when we first heard it and were news surfing "You think this would be breaking news" It wasnt tell about 30min later that it started running across the bottom of my TV screen.
If anyone had gotten hurt, Im gonna be so &^*&% mad.

I think we have another problem right now.

Apparently, 24 people we're arrested, because they we're going to bomb 10 planes coming into america. I just saw it on the news. Now you can't take liquid things like shampoo and stuff on planes, because they found ways to make bombs out of it, and make it electronically explode. I don't have any other details.

They have delays all over the US and the UK and no electronics like iPods or laptops were allowed on and any Medicene, Breast Milk and Infant forumal were allowed.

Serious stuff. :/ What's this world comming to...

It was the first thing on the news.....
they said everything we already know and also mentioned that they are still looking over the pipe bombs and that they have no susspects.

As for the Terrorism about the planes... they said....
The bombs were gonna be liquids desquised as drinks and on the plane they would have mixed them together and then ignite them.

Now no one can bring liquids of any kinds on planes. Toothpaste, water, coffee, shampoo, ect.

Also with the Salem pipe bombs, I nocited when they showed a map of where the bombs were they showed how the bombs were layed out and it was perfectly spaced in a triangle

Also, On the news they showed the burning of that furniture store seperatly.... and I saw a commercial earlier that they were going to close anyway, so my dad thinks that part it an insurance scam.

Opps almost forgot... NO one has been hurt.

Now they are saying they found a fourth bomb, but they cut to commercail..... Ill update when they come back.

They found one in Dallas....
Police are down the street checking it out. They got a call around 7:45pm. This one hasnt gone off, and they removed it. They are gathering eveidence from the spot where they found it .
They just got another call during the report.... there is a S.W.A.T situation near the dalles where they have someone trapped in car.... they said they willl keep everyone updated on that.

This is what I got down here from my local news. (summarized)

3 pipe bombs were found in Salem (I haven't heard anything about the Dalles situation) and no one was hurt. They did detonate the 3rd bomb but I don't know if it went off on its own or if SWAT team did that. I'm guessing the second idea.

The smoke in the air came from some small forest fires that were near Salem and had nothing to do with the pipe bomb situation.

I'm guessing they didn't want to go on the news about the story until they had enough facts to know what was going on. I also get the feeling that if the news said "Don't go in this area today" without explaining why, some people would go down there out of curiosity.

It was a furniture store right? I saw it on KATU. It's weird that it was going out of buisness and it just happened to all go up in flames, you know? Maybe for insurance money?

I mean, come on. How does a FURNITURE building just burst into flames and BURN DOWN. You probably would have noticed a fire if like, a lamp had fallen over or somthing... it just doesnt make sense unless the guy did it on purpose. Im sure the cops will figure it out soon enough and it will be all over the papers

They said it was so unstable they couldn't go inside it for fear it could collapse or something. THey're taking peices and they're gonna do tests... :3

Didn't they also say it was in the basment? Hm.... very suspicious.

It is because the new explosive or the one they were going to use in this plot in england is a pink liquid that looks just like the soap in a bathroom soap dispencer and is not detected by most explosive sniffing machines. The plan was get the liquid explosive on the airplane and combine it with other stuff McGyver style while in flight.

The other thing in Salem yeah those kids and there pipe bombs and al lthere how to manuals on the internet. When I was a kid thee was no internet and we did not have Malls to put bombs in we had cow fields
