Heheh... Neko-chan has 5 costumes... and only 2 left to do! >D -dances-
Although, only 2 of them needed to be sewn. /: The others are store bought altered or pre-made (School uniform)

Sooo, beacuse the Con is about a month away, I was just wondering how much progress everyone else has made. ^_^ (Or no progress at that!)

Also, good luck for everyone.

I hope we all get our cosplays done on time!

I`ve made a lot of progress on mine. There was so much work to do on it...=_= But I`m almost done now....So I`ll have it finished in time for the con.

You can order cosplay outfits...? *blink* oooooh.... dang. *sighs* My mum would never do that. I'm practically buried in thrift-store clothes.

Yah we have an overall 20 costume total for 4 people. Right now we have about 4 done xD. While 10 are half-done. Aaaaand then there's the ones we still have to start. Oh well *waves hand* Plenty of time to finish.

Lucky! I can only afford 1 costume for all 3 days and have no way of making my own. I've had mine for about a month now ^^;

wow @_@ thats a lot of work...and you can make the last ten costumes before the con?? @_@ wow wish i had your talent ^_^ thats so cool of you to make all those costumes and not have a panick attack ^_^

Heh... never said I don't have a panic attack xD

My mom and friends help a lot though. It's a team effort which really makes it go quickly. ^^'

We're trying to get a headstart with starting 2 monthes before the con instead of 2 weeks! whoot whoot!

95% done. It was 100%, but then I came into some cash and decided to buy a better corset for it, and now I have to re-add some lace.

Ebay while you still can!

Also, what Goodwill has in stock changes all the time, so you can keep checking (but it's a risk).

You might also check at Target and cheap places like that, especially if the boots and belt could conceivably be worn with other outfits (and you can therefore justify spending a little money on them).

Just putting the finishing touches on my Mei Lin costume. I need to put the gold trim around the sleevs and shoes. Oh, and go shopping for white shortes today...I made my skirt...way...way...way... :shock: ...way to short for my likeing.

I do one costume for all three days. That way if people go Sunday but no time else, they get to see it! Plus, Im kinda poor... :wink:

Phew! I have the belt, and I think I'll just have to wear black shoes for the boots though as those are a hard item to come across.

boots ... sometimes i see them at goodwill, but you might not be as lucky ... :/ i hope you find them soon,

i'm still altering my outfit. ^^; it's a little loose (think baby doll), so i'm sewing some places in a bit.

I need to sew my obi today, and then I get to make a pair of convinicing looking samurai swords out of two wooden bokkens. We're having guests over tomorrow, and well - they're going to have to watch me wrap the tsuka whether they want to or not! LOL!

If you had started the swords earlier, there are some really good metallic spray paints out there. (best I found was Rust-o-leum Chrome Metallic) I made my friend's Xianghua sword out of a bokken because she didn't want to have her sword be sheathed. It took me like 3 weeks to do it and my kali-yuga(diff paint of course

), but turned out fabulous

He didn't want to draw them, so the bokken painted to look like a sheathed set is just what we were looking for. Thanks for the tip though. It's much appreciated. ^.^

My Kakashi costume is almost done. I just have to finish some finer details to it and the shoes (a pair of modified flip-flops)

And my Lupin robe and wand are ready. I just need to ask for a used old suitcase, add some wizard "bumper stickers" on it and I should be good to go.

i went to get my costume sewed in last night - and the zipper broke. so we just took the whole zipper out. and now i can't take my outfit off by myself... ^^; oh my.

I finished mine last night, but it is just too big. Fits my hubby perfectly and makes him look like Miroku (Inuyasha), LOL! Too late to get the staff tho *chuckles*.

Alright. Hair is orange now. sword is done, cosplay is all packed and ready to go.
