8D I had a photoshoot at MEW and got some good-looking pictures for once. This is just the first one I edited. The rest are cooler. EXCITEMENT.

Well, Seychelles is in progress. xD Not pics yet, but all I need to do is attach the of-the-shoulder sleeve thingies, the elastic under the bust, and dye it because it's not really the shade I want. xD

It actually has the makings of his jacket after much alteration.

You can't really see, because I took this with my phone and the lighting is horrible, >.< it makes my fabric look so dark.
I was too excited so here is a picture of my progress. : D

well, I TRIED to work on it, but I can't remember where I put my pins. D8>
so naturally I wasted time messing around in 358/2 days...
I sort of planned it out, though. I think I have enough material to make the surcoat and the cape. (well, I know I have enough. I just don't know if I'll be able to make the cape as full as I'd like it to be.) Kind of need to make a pattern, though... I'll screw it up if I don't. Maybe I'll dig out those old newspapers I have around here somewhere...

It's official, I really do look WAY more like Belgium than Ukraine (besides this seems to please the Dutch in me... beings Holland is her brother and all.)

Decided to throw on the blonde wig I had in storage from Akicon and grabbed a random ribbon nearby (pic below) and now I'm super stoked to get started on this even though that won't happen until after Sakuracon.

My only worry is that people won't recognize me as Belgium, but honestly I could care less at this point, oh and forgive the crappy webcam pic. =]

Even if people don't recognise the character, they'll probably know you're from Hetalia. That's how it was at last K-con, anyway.

Malaria: DAINE YES I EVEN MADE DARKINGS AND THE BADGER CLAW -shot- There aren't a lot of people to recognize that costume.I wore it on the third day of MEW and nobody knew who I was, but it made me happy just to be wearing it. Those kinda costumes are the best.~

But I have no use for papercrafts myself, so whenever I make them I give them away. =ω= I gave Spain and Romano to one of the artists in the artists alley, and I gave France to Jacob_Blackfeather, and I gave Prussia (who I finished later) to an England cosplayer.

But I don't really watch anime either. When I do I prefer to watch the original language version with subtitles, so I really don't care how badly the dubs are.

I usually prefer dubs, because the subtitles are distracting and I pay too much attention to them instead of watching the show.

I don't find it that difficult, but I read pretty fast and I'd rather have to read subs than suffer bad dubs. (and dubs of liveaction are... interesting. I'd say they're more distracting than reading subtitles.) I don't mind dubs on animated films/television as long as they don't change the meaning of the dialogue, which I have seen. (In some of the older Studio Ghibli films the meaning is completely changed. The only reason I prefer the subs is that they're more accurate.)

I just realized I have to make cuffs and those things the shoudlerboards connect to for Prussia. So I gotta run by Joann's and find fabric for them.

Also, I found the perfect place for a Hetalia shoot, but I think getting permission to do a photoshoot there would be really hard to get. >.<

I'll probably put a small piece of tape on the back of my leg next time though. As for the ones on the hair, I tie them half above, half on the hairtie, then they stay pretty well.
