I'm a senior this year and all seniors are required to do something called a Senior Seminar Experience, or SSE. For mine I have a few ideas and one of them went something like this; designing clothing around cosplay. For instance, Zidane's from FFIX's wristcuffs. Instead of those giant things, a shrunk and slightly altered design to turn them into wristbands. Or Aerith's; make a dress themed after her that you could wear every day, not just in a cosplay setting. Earrings shaped like the Buster Sword, a Link's Tunic-themed shirt, etc.
Is it a good idea to design these things and sew them together for my project? Like casual, but clothes geared towards the alternative and for cosplayers who don't want to cosplay all the time, but would still love to wear simplified pieces of their character. Or different/changed versions.
Other things could include a full-length Kimono reminescent of Yuna, a Homonculus get-up that you could wear to school, etc. Not exactly cosplaying, but everyday clothing patterned after cosplays. ^^
