A couple years ago, there was a Catgirl Pool Party-type thing, and that was pretty fun, I thought. 8D;

So I'm wondering if that's being considered for this year at all?

I would love to have a pool party but I think the problem that we would run into is the fact that the pool at the hotel will be for guest and not con goers.

We used the hotel pool a couple years ago, so unless the doubletree is stricter or something...

My ears are wooden.......but they do have fur on the inside. I don't know if I would get them wet though.

As long as most of the people in the pool are staying at the hotel I don't think it'll be a problem. Plus, it's not like you'll be bothering anyone in the poolside suites, Kumoricon has them ALL reserved!

Well, there was a cat-ear making workshop earlier in the day, so everyone made cat ears and wore those with their swimsuits.

Except me, I was just stalking this guy who was dressed as a character I liked and I found out he was going.

...But it was still fun! D8;

During the Clackamas meet up on the 10th, we saw a guy with like redish hair and he came up to us and was like:
Hey is there like some Mini-con going on?
And Chika/Iruka ran up to him and was all like no this is just a cosplay meet up.
And then we all talked and we found out he was going to Kumoricon and we're trying to convince him to go to the picnic.
He is like the PERFECT Reno XD

Actually, there does not need to be a staff member involved in this. It is not going tbe in the con book and is just an event planned by the attendees. Just like Cosplayers on Ice or any of the photoshoots planned in the Cosplay section.

And honestly, you'll probably have more fun that way.

I remember the pool party, didn't some cranky old woman crash it? Same woman glared me down in an elevator. And by then I already left (for a girl who always jumps into rivers on field trips, I had to to have be dragged into that pool).

We should totally to a catgirl pool party again this year. I was there in '06 and had an awesome time at it. It'd rock if we could do it again.

Be sure to go to a pool party if we have one this year! >O Because it will be lots of crazy fun and swimming is a nice way to avoid con sweat and heat. 8D

If we did do something like this, would we wanna bring, like, fun little immature pool games/stuff? Or for LAFFS, a pool photoshoot... That'd be a little awesome, actually. Yeah, I wouldn't want to get those wet. So if we do one this year (plus a photoshoot, that'd be a little awesome...) it could be something different, like... A cosplay swimsuit contest pool party! Or something. Maybe we could try to incorporate parts of our outfits in our "swimming attire," haha. Or you could wrap yourself in cellophane and be cellophane-edition So-and-So... *lame* I'll stop rambling now. 8D;

Has anyone seen the hotel pool yet? XD; Because if it has steps leading in, we could also try doing shoots on the steps and just around the pool, for those of us who will have a hard time translating our costumes into swimsuits or buying swimsuits that fit well with it. (Though I guess on Saturday, my costume is MADE out of swimsuit fabric... So I could probably swim in the pants, ahahahaha...)

Swim suit Temari wouldn't be that hard. I have a nice (new) colorful swimsuit. It isn't purple or anything but as long as I keep my hair up and keep my fan with me I should be good.

I don't have a camera, but I was just concerned maybe OMG NO ONE HAS A CAMERA!!!! somehow. But since that's solved...

I have a photoshoot at 4, so how about at 5? (I'd prefer to have it either afterwards or MUCH earlier because I have had times where my hair has literally taken over an entire day to dry. I have no idea how it holds so much water for so long. Plus another friend going needs her hair styled for the photoshoot.) Then afterwards, we could all head over to Lloyd Center and get something to eat if we wanted. 8D; Or wherever else is close.

Everyone okay with that time?
(also the rumor about not eating after you swim is FALSE! ~desu)

Sounds like fun! I'll do my Lum bikini, take the wig off if I go fully into the water. I don't care if the old suit gets wet. And I can just change into the schoolgirl version of her afterwards.
I'll bring my camera, and 5:00 sounds fine to me. The only shoot I've got planned for Saturday is at 2.
