The reason I'm explaining things is because I'm being patient. Or trying to be. Sorry if I'm being a bit too dry about it.

Actually, the part about saying I might've been a cause was half a joke, since we were talking about circumstances rather than people. And, you weren't pushy at all; thanks for your comments.

You were perfectly sweet, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being read as being evil or super repetitive.  Your position is a difficult position to be in, and as before, I wish you best of luck at your attempt to please everybody...If I can be a help, please let me know.  ^_^

I'd have to say it's good to have an audition.  

1. You have a better chance of being in the actual contest, as long as your audition goes over well.  Even if you get cut, you already have performed your song (partially) in front of your peers and the judges.

2.  None of the stress and disappointment of missing the signup and complaining about limited entrants.  You have an equal chance as anybody else does at that point to make it.

3.  If you do happen to get into the contest you had the advantage of seeing and hearing a little bit of everyone else's songs/performances.  Then you have an oppurtunity to make improvements to your act--practice vox, choreography etc.--before contest time arrives.

So that's what I think. Any thoughts?

there was a group of naruto cosplayers who wanted to do karaoke and didnt make it, they had a big fan dance planned during the middle... but the auditions were cut off before they even got a chance to show you and that is just not right, so... yes auditions for when there are other forms of karaoke for people to do, but give people a chance to show you their stuff...

I really wanted to thank you personally for being interested in watching our performance. . . even though we were off to the side of the lobby and acopella, we really appreciated that you were interested enough to give us some time to watch what we put our hard work and effort into! Thank you for the CD of it too!!!

Also, keep in mind that I'm looking for people to run Karaoke for next year and I'm planning on more than one contest.  I'd love to hear opinions...and if your opinion is strong enough, how about considering becoming involved.
