alright all costume stuff is done. Now I just need to clean my room x.x There isn't much on the floor but a lot on all the counter space

but they're still being a bit troublesome. The back of the suspenders isn't looking quite like I had hoped - so I know it's not exactly true to the movie, but I hope people can forgive me for that...

Like I was telling Eve not many people are going to be walking around with every view of your character. They wont know if something is off or not.

Thanks guys.  It's been a difficult progress so there's not way i'm stopping now! I just have to sew them in a bit more, and maybe cut out the circles...ack, i'm nervous about cutting out the circles!!! lol

Just put Garnet's pendant in the oven to cook the clay. Cutting out the pattern pieces for the skirt now... and the head of the Tiger Racket needs to be covered in fabric, have the paws thingys glued on, and painted. Need to make thunderbolts for a friends Pikachu cosplay and have a few more trinkets to make. Finished the first ten Magic Tags, and plan to make Magic Tags at the con to the specifications of those who want them. XD (Magic Tags cure zombie status in FFIX)

WOW! Nice Cannon, Eve! I'mma gonna have to find you to give you a few summoning stones just because of it's awesomeness! *has a rather large amount of FFIX trinkets to give out*

oh dear kenzie called TT_TT she just picked up 2 bags worth of blue make up for my chocobo and 3 bottles of gel and 2 bottles of blue hair dye....

im not looking forward to the test run on my make up tomorrow *sighs* i swear i am putting the great blue in retirment after this!

For some reason, I couldn't find circle stencils at Joann's. Maybe I'll look for some tomorrow.

You could always just improvise. Jar lids, bottle caps, cup rims, cup bottoms....I have never used a stencil yet I've always had something to trace a circle with.

Heheh... I don't. I'm j ust lucky that my mom fixes antique jewelry and stuff so she has all these fake sapphires and stuff EVERYWHERE! Garnet's were hard though... I've only got two I can give away. Since all the others are REAL and part of MY jewelry. XD

How? It's a bottom piece that attaches to another one. I could make it based on the lines of the piece 17 (it looks like a triangle), but the line at the bottom, where the skirt touches the ground, is curved! D: *tears room apart looking for piece*

wish i could help D: you could try to sketch it out from memmory and trial and error on it on paper till you get one about the right size if you remeber what it looks like some what....

All I have to go on is the little paper that says where to place them. I haven't seen the piece before. It's like it was never there to begin with, or I accidentally thre ti out when making the shirt. T.T

Boxer: T-T Just noticed there's pattern on the back of the jacket too and I'm out of bias tape. So it's like 99% done. Muuur -.-

And on everything, cept Diva and Roxas, I need to figure out how to hem the arm holes >< I forgot to when making everything and I'm tempted to just leave them not hemmed. To hem or not to hem~?

I'm 100% finished with the suspenders. That includes the holes.

Necklace complete. I figured out how to reproduce the missing pattern piece even though I've never seen it before. It will take lots of math... good thing I'm crazily good at that (even if I hate it. >.>). Still need to finish the Tiger Racket and five-foot-tall Thunderbolt for her friend's Pikachu. And the four inch long mini-one. (that's specifically if Garnet (me) gets to fight Edward Elric in the Cosplay chess... my friend is my special attack)

I wouldn't. It is too close to the con and there would be no way to fix it in time. If you plan on wearing the costume some other time then you can style it.

now i guess my only problem is my chocobo make up wont wash off TT_TT i look like a mess... this is what i get for using the waterproof long lasting stuff... (we got it so it wont rub off at the con...)

I woke up with this awesome Roxas bed head the summer after I cut my hair for my Ordon Village Link costume from LoZ:Twilight Princess.


Painted Davy's mask. Here's the finished product, although the lighting is terrible. The bandanna is in the works. I put it on since the top of the mask didn't cover the scuba mask I used as a base. It kind of looks like brains without the bandanna on.

I think, set up wise, my costume's going to be pretty simple, other than some face paint. I'm going to carry around some spirit gum with me just in case I can manage to dodge the places that ban masks. I think this might look better if I could stick it on my face where I want it to go. Davy should be easier to get on than Alphonse XD;;

I've used eye makeup remover all over before, too. There was this one type that was kind of like a lotion, and it cleaned off my make up really, really well. My friend and I decided to go beserk with eyeshadow one day.

Scarf: Finished.
Cape: Finished.
Armwarmers: Finished
Gloves: 98% (I need to make/mold knuckle-caps out of plastic and glue them on)
Shirt: Finished
Shoes: 95% (I need to put strips of reflective tape on, and cut lace-guards out of plastic sheeting and attach them)
Pants: 75% (I need to get the stitching/tapered look finished)
Cannon: 90% (I need to glue on the rubber tracking, if only it'd get here)
Wig: 25% (I need to style it, trim it....whatever needs done to it. I'm so intimidated by this friggin piece of fake, blue hair, lol)

Got most of the pieces for the skirt cut out. Had a small blunder in it, but it's all cool. It's just that three of the pieces won't be cut on the straight of the grain of the fabric (seamstress talk) since I ran out of extra fabric. I'll just have to let those three be in the lining of the skirt. @.@ *so very sleepy* Still got the Tiger Racket... I'll sew and paint the skirt tomorrow(or should I say today?), and finish the Tiger Racket tonight(or should I say this morning?). XDD I are master of procrastination. My cosplay probably won't be completely done until an hour before con starts, knowing me.

Azul has a theme? *runs off to BlueLaguna*  So he does. Dirge of Cerberus is the one soundtrack I've not listened to completely (aside from what I hear while playing the game), so I had no idea he actually had a theme. That's awesome and the park would be soooo much cooler for it, lol. ^_^

I need to find somewhere where I can get a certain song that has certain uses. You'll all figure it out at con... *Evil maniacal laughter* And yes, he has a theme. It's rather awesome. It'll get played VERY loud. XD someone should SO bring a portable fan and set it in front of you so your cape billows out behind you, and then with the theme playing you'll have so many photographers crowding you that it'll be like a Presidential press conference.

At dad's today I get to spraypaint a pair of white crocs with blue and silver spraypaint to make ghetto Trinity Blood shoes. I don't want what happened to me at Sakuracon this year to happen again... I had a synaptic nerve palsy in three toes on my right foot. It was interesting.

Eesh, that sounds painful. Well, while I usually do not endorse crocs, if they will help you out this year, by all means go for it. Hopefully they can help you. I hear they are pretty comfy.....though I'd never be caught dead in a pair, lol.

And yes! That is such a killer plan, heh. I need to hijack a large fan now, or pray for some sudden gales, heh.

But about music, if it is from an RPG of any kind, BlueLaguna is the place for it. They've got tons of RPG soundtracks.

Actually, Eve, it wasn't painful because I couldn't feel the toes. XD they were numb for about a month and a half, possibly more.

And don't worry, I found what I was looking for. It isn't a game soundtrack, oh no. But no con is complete without it being blasted at least once.

I have almost everything finished for my lucia(fire emblem) cosplay!

I just need to cut and dye my hair and finish the arm's on the jacket. and then I need to find a bag or possibly make one so I can carry around important things without it clashing or not working well with the costume. I'd probably say I'm 80-85% done.

I feel so accomplished!!

btw totemo, your costume is awesome! I will definitely get tons of pics of you. :3
