Anyone going to Emerald City Comicon this year? If so, who are you going as and what are you looking forward to the most?

My girlfriend and I are headed up, but just for Saturday. Don't plan to really dress up as anything. Looking forward to meeting Adam Baldwin (JAYNE!) and Summer Glau the most, though I'm a fan of a lot of the guests it was meeting people from Firefly that got me to get tickets!

I went last year and autograph prices will be up a few weeks before the con. But if you want examples, prices usually vary on the guest. Like William Shatner was $70 for an autograph (getting your picture taken with him was a different price

) And the Boondock Saints guys were $20 dollars an autograph each.

I'm hoping to go, and be crazy enough to go to Sakura-Con the following weekend as well XD
I'll most likely be Taokaka and a Silent Hill Homecoming Nurse.
I'm looking forward to the ROWS OF COMICS. They're like 50 cents to two dollars for comics and that's just a pretty cool deal to pass up ^_^

So, if there's anyone that's going and needs a room, let me know! I have 3 other people staying with me (my partner and 2 of our friends). It's a coed room and we're all 22+ years old. We would definitely prefer someone(s) of-age to stay with us if they do, but if you are a minor and are responsible/mature then that shouldn't be a problem.

We did a something like that for anniversary, were we decided to get nice new phones instead if gifts gifts (hello apps!)
We are gonna leave our son at home tho if we took him I would be so

I'm going with a date and another friend, but we're staying somewhere much cheaper than one of the con hotels.
I'll probably be in a cute comfy outfit with a supergirl shirt one of the days and in the TARDIS dress you made me one of the days.
I'd considered wearing a dress I have that resembles one Inara wore, but I'm not sure anyone would get it (though I wore it at MEW for my Whedonverse panel).
The big question is whether I should stay after for the extra $43+ for Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes.
Is anyone?

Yes filming conflicts, they got lea Thompson as a last min replacement but its not really in. the same nerdy league as Christopher Lloyd

I'm excited for Jason Momoa, as I love Game of Thrones, in which he was Khal Drogo. I'm currently reading A Clash of Kings, which I got autographed by George R. R. Martin, at Renovation, the World Con in Reno (for which I won a scholarship).

There have been a lot of changes in guests. But you can't be too surprised since they're all big-name people who have movies/shows to work on, which comes before attending a convention.

I'm just happy that James and Oliver are going to be there. :3

Had a weird experience at the Jhonen Vasquez panel....

but it ended positive note Pendleton Ward was there mostly to chat and talk about mine craft and he drew a picture of me, or "the sad girl.."
for the record I am not sad, just apparently when you get more complements on wearing invader zim clothing then any other clothing (counting wedding)and was not able to retail shop for 7 years, its the saddest thing they have ever heard...

Jhonen said "did your parents not notice you until you wore GIR stuff"

at that I didn't want to be a downer and tell them that was true cuz I ahvent seen my dad in like 15 years or so
moral of the story is if artist find you sad you get a free self portrait?

Wow...hope you're ok.
We had a blast.
Missed Wil Wheaton, but then saw everyone in 4A Sat, & the first 3 in 4A Sun.
Best was actually seeing Ernie Cline, writer/director of the "Fanboys" movie, and author of the book, "Ready Player One."
I gave Ernie a copy of "Pickman's Muse," the multiple-award-winning H. P. Lovecraft fan film with which I'm involved, and he gave me a box set of the audiobook for "Ready Player One," autographed by himself and by Wil Wheaton, who narrates!
