I don't exactly have a date set for this yet. I'm tentatively saying sometime before Christmas, on a weekend. (To make it easier on everyone that has school.) I still have to talk to my fiances parents and make sure it's ok to use their backyard for this. Which by the way is PERFECT for cosplay photographer! Holy shards, is it perfect. Waterfall, and amazing ledges.

I'd like to kindly ask that there be no booze at all. This is a PG event that will be happening, so people of any age are invited. The only way to come though is if you bring a gift for the exchange. White elephants are funny random gift exchanges. I'm going to set the gift cost at 15 max. You aren't allowed to spend more then that. This keeps people from feeling like they got something that was worth less then someone that got say an Ipod. You know what I mean?

I'm drumming up interest in this. And may even talk to Nekovamp to find out if she wants to coincide this with the Winter Photoshoot. Now if I get the permission, the place is out in Cornelius. You can take the 57 from Beaverton Transit Center, to just a few blocks walk from the house. Really really simple. But the 57 runs really really late. And you can easily get the max back in to Portland to get home. The stop you want to get off on is 20th and Adair.

So any interest in the event, and if you did come - who would you dress up as?

Sadly with the winter photoshoot I know I can't come, I have a show that night.

or winter cosplays I could come as Derpy Hooves from My little pony or if I have my Vanille wig I can come as her.

I could probably come, I don't know what cosplays I have right now done... But I'm sure I could come as something. I think the only thing I really have is my Agito cosplay from Air Gear and Izaya cosplays since I recently moved and couldn't bring everything with me.

This would not be a late night event. It would be something that happened around noonish. I still have to wait for his mom to get home to ask her, and make sure it's ok. And it'd be for a few hours only. And if you take pictures of the scenery in the back yard, I think the family would like copies. ALSO, you need to clean up after yourselves. It's a beautiful house. Don't wear cosplays with shoes that are hard to take off. As they are a house with nice hardwood floors and don't want stuff tracked across the floor.

This sounds fun, as for the winter shoot I doubt we'd be able to make them be the same event since we have been talking about taking the winter shoot to mt hood in January. But as a separate shoot and gift exchange I definitely approve

There will be a winter shoot this month, but people are wanting it at a theater b/c it's inside. I'm getting more votes for being inside than out, so they probably wouldn't even want this option anyways. But thanks for the thought.

Well whatever. This would be a partially inside and partially out. How are ya supposed to get good photos lot pics in a theater? and my hood seems Bella out there. But meh, whatever. Even if his parents approve I doubt very many people will come to this. Itd be a grist as miracle I I actually had a huge winter party for a hand.

Get to beavern transit center. Catch the 57 to forest grove. Get off at 20th and Adair.

Dad has given a tentative yes, need to ask the mom still. Looks like this event may happen. The only thing the dad asks is that you stay off of the grass unless you are taking a picture. Mostly because the ground is constantly wet, and he doesn't want you tearing up the grass. XD If you walk on it quickly to get out to the waterfall, or something like that, he doesn't mind.

Please make sure that all gifts are as gender neutral as possible. But if you do buy something that isn't, we can do an exchange of gifts if the need is to be had. Everyone please remember no more then 15 is to be spent on the gifts. If you make it yourself, that's just as good. Please make sure they are wrapped in a manner that it is harder to tell who brought what, if you can at least. Best way to do that is a brown paper bag. I am also posting a facebook group, and inviting all of the cosplayers I know from facebook.

Just let me know when it's closer. I actually plan on attending the meeting, AFTER my party is over. I NEVER have a holiday event that I hold, that has ever actually had people willing to attend. So I'm not giving this up. XD

I only knew that the day before the event. As is, most board members are not staff members. But are just normal congoers.
