I have a friend who can only come on Saturday, is it possible for him to pay for Saturday on Friday?

Nope.  One day passes can only be bought on the day they are to be used.  Though, he can buy a full weekend pass on Friday.

it is also cheaper in case he can actually find a way to show up another day, and it will allow him to not worry if he can get free time... Plus he can show up late on the other days and hang out then.

There is one exception to this. Saturday badges can be bought on Friday. But otherwise, same-day only for single days.
