Sorry guys, I have been concentrating on the con schedule, and the due date slipped my radar. I haven't had a chance to reply to any of the applications that have been sent in, so if you haven't heard anything, don't panic... no one has. But I should be able to respond to all of them in the next couple of days, and I will post when I have gone thru them all.. that way, if you don't get an email, you know to resend.

And since I haven't had a chance to review anything, I'm going to leave sign-ups open to at least Weds, Aug 26. Plus, there haven't been as many entries as last year, so if you were still thinking about it, sign-up.

Keep in mind, when I get your form is not critical, it's your cosplay. So, if for some reason I lost your application and you have to resend, it's not going to set you back on the list.

Oh, and on another note.. I'm still looking for chess masters. Because you really, really don't want me to be the one making the moves

I could be a chess master. I'm not that great of a strategist but I do tend to use all my pieces, which is really what you want in Cosplay chess

Also I could do it as Krosp from Girl Genius, he actually plays chess, and I'm cosplaying him.

I was wondering something.
I got my application in on time, but my attack didn't.
Would that be a reason to reject my application?
Just because my attack didn't make it in?
Plus, I listed 2 attacks, and she was only one of them.
I do hope that this isn't as big of a problem as it is in my mind.

I had the same problem, and sent in the question with my application. I'll post the answer when they get back to me.
My friend Emilie was going to be Shiva, but due to a money cut I'm making her a moogle costume instead, but we still need to get the fabric, so I can't send in her application yet.

The attack isn't as critical as the piece is.. in fact, people have done their attacks last minute and brought to the pre-meet. so don't worry about it.

Like I said earlier, if you haven't heard anything yet, don't worry, because I still haven't responded to them yet

But you will be hearing in the next day or so...

We'll see how things go. I kinda want to be in and I kinda don't. The chess game takes up a large portion of Monday so I wouldn't mind just walking around but...well it is a lot of fun :3

Okay, finally got all the form email replies out, so if you haven't heard from me, odds are I did not receive your application.

As of right now I have about 35 apps, and all the costumes look really good, so it will be a hard decision to make.

I will be posting the teams on the forums by next Monday, so I have some time to play with the teams a bit, see what I can shake out.

Remember, if we have enough time for second match (which there was last year) and interest in it, we can have one so all the alternates can play as well.

And I still need another chess master, so if anyone else is willing to step up, I would appreciate it. Doesn't anyone want to take on Olivia?

If Olivia is Playing chess , I think it would be fun for Roy to take her on since the characters don't get along.

From the looks so far, I don't think I will get my good vs evil match

, and I don't really see an anime vs video game, so the teams will probably be a good mix (unless we get another men vs women match.. in which case Roy vs Olivia would be awesome

but the rules this year are you have to send a pic of you in costume, they won't accept a pic of your character.

@Neko: I know, I wanted to join in so much, my character would also fit somewhat as well.

Normaly the pre-meet is the hour block before the Cosplay chess.... mainly its just so you can check in, and talk to others about your moves...

Brotherhood is actually awesome, it glosses over some stuff from the manga, and bits that took some time in the original, but other than that it's great.
