Simple ne?
chocolate v.s. strawberry battling for the best flavor
Hokage Strawberry and Hokage Chocolate lead 5 of their best pocky duelists (using foam swords crafted by myself to look like giant pocky sticks) into battle. Then the hokage have an epic pocky duel using pocky longswords. In time of great need, Chocolate may call upon their allies, the Almond Crunch and Dark Chocolate Ninja clans, and Strawberry may call upon Green Tea and Banana Dessert to meet them.
There are a minimum of 10 spots, 5 per side, and a maximum of 26, 5 per side and 4 per ally village.

No changes, just strap on a pink or brown ninja headband. Meaning if you don't have a skit already to count your cosplay design in, this can be a good one. And really the script is simple and flexible. The Pocky Hokage order their ninjas to attack in one on one duels, then the Hokage themselves duel it out in a climactic final bout.

Training begins sat. Simply it's a game of stick tag. Or EPIC SWORDFIGHTING WITH POCKY!

Using the rules of engagement and crafted safe swords of Amtgard. it might go quicker than expected if everyone plays straight up. So I'm giving the hokages 1 point of armor in each location (torso front, back, arms and legs)

I only have enough materials to form two swords of each color to bring to the picnic.

Also there will be a super secret twist in the skit ending that I'd like to discuss in person.

exactly, you sign you name, tally a point under it and take control of it until someone beats you. Losers can't re-challenge until 10 min later. I think I'll let the bucket loose when we get about 30 or so attendees for an hour or two.

Due to lack of funds currently I may only be able to make two swords, so one per color.
And I'll keep updates on when the practices are.

POCKY WARS
Strawberry V.S. Chocolate
The ninja villages of Pocky Land collide and take the sides they feel are most favorite.
Strawberry reaches out to her ally the Green Tea village, while Chocolate calls upon their dark brothers.
Strawberry summons their fruit studded siblings, while chocolate brings out the Almond Crunch Clan from the mountains.

We could have it so that the strawberry and chocolate nations at the end bring out a big box of their flavor and have the other side try them. They both like it and a treaty is forged, with a new choco-berry swirl Pocky sword. THE END!

This is what rocks. 3 min 30 sec for skits with under 5 people.

5 or more it extends to a max of 5 min.

And most combat in amtgard takes about 1 second to a minute long.

the master plan has been altered a little...

there will be about 5 strawberry and chocolate plus the hokage of both villages. Then there will be around 3-4 representatives from the allied nations Strawberry allies: Green Tea, studded strawberry; Chocolate allies: dark men's chocolate and almond crunch; all pile in on the hokages' commands. If we can't find that many, the defeated ones will crawl backstage and dawn green/dark brown headbands and sabers, then strawberry studded/almond crunch, and so on.

Once one side is slain, the hokage both face off, and make a deal that the loser must taste the other's Pocky. (half of the minds of the crowd will be in the gutter from that statement, they have permission to laugh) The winner in fact offers a stick from the Giant Strawberry/Chocolate box to the defeated hokage. He/she likes it to their surprise and a treaty is made. The original strawberry/chocolate ninjas come out and each take one opposite pocky stick, all hold it in the air, then bite them off like snapping into a slim jim. At that instant the stage goes dark. And the narrator says "And so there was peace in the land of Pocky." THE END.

Well then here's what I'm suggesting:

I'm entering this skit and my cosplay into the contest. I think they said that you can do up to two skits but you can only count your cosplay in one of them. So everyone can still do this skit if you want and count your cosplay towards your other one if you have one.

Triple OMG! I didn't know I was clear to come along! I should be up that way after I meet up with my roomies for Sakuracon at Borders, downtown. Coming as Inuyasha if things work out, or as Future Trunks this time, or even Tuxedo Mask. I might be leaving a tad early because that's the night of my DeMolay chapter's installation of officers.

And the bucket was supposed to have a gold painted set of a rock, paper and scissors, plus a box of Giant Pocky. But I couldn't find the rock or paint them in time so it was just a place to keep my jacket and the food I salvaged.

This is a war between pocky ninja clans, primarily Strawberry and Chocolate to prove who the best flavor is. Your only weapons are your ninja headband which you wear on your head over your normal cosplay, and your pocky "sword" which you will use to battle the enemy ninja.

You're trying to tag the enemy ninja before he/she tags you. No hitting the head or neck, they don't count anyway. Arm and leg shots, you're wounded. Lose a leg, you're on your knees. Lose an arm, you can only fight with your sword in your remaining arm. A second limb or a torso shot (shoulders to groin) is a kill, and you fall down dead. Then crawl away backstage.

I'll decide later if the dead ones will put on a clan ally headband or if I have enough to fill all the roles.
I'd say about 4-5 chocolate/strawberry ninjas each, and 3-4 clan ally ninjas. bananna dessert and green tea are allies to strawberry, and vanilla dessert and almond crunch are allies to chocolate.

The rules said 3.5 minutes for less than 5 people and 5 minutes for more than 5. We should have around 10 including me. And each engagement will take only take about a minute. If anything I may just have the two Hokage send out their best 4 ninjas one at a time to battle it out, then they duel each other and the loser must taste the winner's pocky.

The cosplay is good, and the headband shouldn't be a problem.

And correction, the first leg hit you take you drop to your knees and continue fighting. the first arm hit you take you lose the arm and continue. Loss of a second limb is a kill, so are first hits to the shoulders chest and stomach. Shots to the groin count as a kill and are frowned upon, though funny if it's a guy and the guy is willing to take one. Being the Chocolate Hokage I'm willing and able to take shrug off low shots.

I'm just saying the minimum is 10 people, 5 per side.

I originally wanted 4 from each clan and the strawberry and chocolate hokage.
The clans would in fact be:
Chocolate 4, 1 hokage (me)
Dark Chocolate 3-4 (ally)
Almond Crunch 3-4 (ally)

Strawberry 4, 1 hokage
Green Tea 3-4 (ally)
Bananna Dessert 3-4 (ally)
That would be 25 total spots if we could do the full thing and each battle lasted less than a minute, which they should.

If we only had 10 total and still had time we would just have the dead ones sneak backstage and change headbands and swords to the next clan.

If time isn't on our side then I would only have 10 and each hokage would send one ninja at a time.
either 4 chocolate/strawberry, or 3, one from each clan and ally to fight, and then the two hokage duel.

I've also thought of two other endings to poke around with.

1. just the chocolate and strawberry go to war and suddenly the Jolly Green Tea Giant appears with the biggest Pocky of all and slays all the ninja, a twist that Green Tea is the dominant flavor.

2. After the hokage duel, exchange flavors and make peace, creating a chocolate/strawberry swirl pocky sword of peace, a rabid fangirl (or schoolgirl) runs away with the pocky of peace, and the two ninja clans all run offstage after her after her.

The first hokage is on a mission of far away, and her return is uncertain. In her place the 2nd Strawberry Hokage will instruct and protect the Strawberry Pocky village.
(She is involved in another skit, so she was still up there in case she changes her mind.)

But as the 2nd Strawberry Hokage, all you would have to do is call upon your best strawberry pocky ninjas to attack, call on your allies to help fight if necessary, then step in and challenge the Chocolate Hokage to a final duel. Other than that you can make the character as formal or twisted as you want, as long as it's still kid friendly.

And if it's May 16th, I can't make it T_T.
But I am looking at the zoo meetup and the possible Rose Festival waterfront picnic, as practice opportunities. Other practices I'll mention as openings come up.

Also a problem is that with only 7 players, our time would be shortened to 3.5 minutes. Also when would anyone be open for a practice?

I still don't know if I am going all 3 days or only 2. But if I am going on the second day am going as Vega from Street Fighter. (if I get my cosplay done.)

This skit is faster and simpler, but the story works out to count for skit design. So it works as a secondary skit to be in. And if numbers don't balance out, there could be a rebellion of the Dark Chocolate and defection to Strawberry. Though this would balance out to 4 on 4. The last day for online skit reg is Aug 20th.

The crowd I'm hearing will be excited, no matter how many there are, but the more the mightier!

Forgive my double posting, but I have made a hard decision, one that will save everyone unnecessary stress.
Due do many reasons, one including the fact that I don't have the padding material to make the pocky swords, I am postponing the skit until MEWcon or next year. This will give the people who were in the skit room to focus more on their other skits including myself. The war will commence! But not yet...not yet. (v v)

This skit is now canceled for this year. I'm concentrating solely on the epic rock-paper-scissors skit, which I have yet to enter a form in for. I'll PM you and the other players the details.
