On Saturday the 16th I would like to hold a Cosplay Picnic/Photoshoot/Party at McCoy Park in Northern Portland. McCoy park is located on Fesseden, and is easy to access by the Number 4 Bus. We would meet up at Noon, and hang out till about seven or eight. This would not be a Cosplay needed event, but it is encouraged. Just to freak out the normies!

We would need people willing to bring food, since it is a potluck event. There is even grill set ups, if people wanted to bring supplies for grilling and stuff. I just think we could have a lot of fun with this even, and since it's so far in advanced and on a Saturday it should be easy for people to come and hang out at it.

The park has so many set ups to it that would provide an interesting backdrop for photos. Cosplays are encouraged, as it looks amazingly fun. There is a Water fountain that you can play in, so make sure if you wanna get wet your cosplay can get wet. Also remember to bring sunscreen, as it can get really really hot out there. We don't need people passing out. There is a cornerstore nearby that sells supplies for grilling as well as lots of food. We may want to find someone that has a giant cooler, so we can keep water on a constant supply.

Well first of all May 17th is a Sunday and there is already an event going on that day so I am not too sure how many people will go to this. Maybe if you moved it to the 16th?

It's all the way out in manning tho, and I'm not so sure how mom would react to me moving the party and Steph either since she's being so nice and letting me use her place for the party ;A; Sad day

My sis and I might be able to go. I'll talk to my mom and dad about it.

Unfortunately, none of us can sew, and money is a little tight(Since we have to buy our costumes), so we won't be in cosplay.

I'll bring my Mokona plushie though if mom and dad say it's ok to go. He's not too big, and not too small, so he's easy to carry around. :3

That's my cellphone number. For your parents to speak to me if they feel the need to. As for cosplays, the cheapest/easiest combination I know of is a Black suit with a black tie. :3 Turks from Final Fantasy VII. It's pretty cheap, specially if you go to GoodWill.

Thanks for the number! Mom and Dad will probably go with us the the Picnic/Photoshoot/Meetup. They want to watch over us whenever we try to go to a cosplay meet (Meaning we've never been to one before because of real life getting in the way of fun *sob*).

As for cosplay, uh...yeah...I'm a girl, so I don't think that I'll do any of the Turks justice with 'these' *Points to Mikuru Asahina worthy chest* in the way.

I might go to Hot Topic and throw together a Misa Amane cosplay or something if I we can't find anything at GoodWill. (Seriously, I've been in there a few times and it's like Hot Topic raided Misa's closet or something)

I'll come along, it's right up near where I go for meetings anyway. And I'll be bringing Along a 2 liter or pocky, and possibly a Dragon Ball as a basketball if the weather is good and there's a court with space.

There is a busline right next to the park! Just get the 4 to St.Johns and it'll drop you off near Mccoy
