Anime Expo/Anime Evolution

Is anyone going to one of these two conventions?  Know its a bit early, but I like to know who else is interested in going to one or both of these cons, before kumori con.  I would like to possibly attend one/both of these cons if I can get transportation/hotel mates to attend them.

Anime Expo is a 4 day con near LA on the July 4th weekend

Anime Evolution is regular 3 day con in Vancover BC(Canada) in Mid August(its like...2 weeks before kumori).

I'll agree with that which is making me consider AE over AX.  plus its a lot less travel time(I'm in Portland).  I dun really see it being 2 weeks before kumori as much of a problem either(others may however).
