Yeah, multiple views could film and then the final video could be one view primarily but cut to other views for special attacks or something, heh.

So where would the LARP event take place again, and please say a park near the con, not Pioneer Courthouse Square. Unless, I'm misunderstanding just what kind of LARP we're going for here.

I've been in Amtgard, where there's real combat with safe swords. Get hit in two limbs or anywhere below the head and neck, and you're dead. (No head shots allowed) Plus some verbal enchantments for magic users.

Or are we trying to achieve something like cosplay chess, where the story and combat outcomes are already set and we just act our way through it?

As I've said in the FF Battle thread, I'm going to be a Tonberry, so I can shuffle around and *doink* people lol. I'm also going as Shino Aburame, but who I go as to LARP is determined by a lot of things. As it stands currently, I'm interested, but I'll let you guys know for sure after I find out when my previous commitments are. ^_^

colleges don't but high schools should have started the week before. Labor Day is really late in the year this year >_>;

Yeah, we are referring to Pioneer (Courthouse) Square. Though, to be specific, when you mention the courthouse in the name, it usually refers more to that blocks surrounding the courthouse building (which includes Pioneer Square) than the actual square. But yes, we mean the square, the big brick concourse with the multiple tiers (which are perfect for the style of LARP that we wanted to get going).

The square is a spacious place to play, I'm just concerned that if someone trips and falls in combat, that they'll be eating bricks, or if brought to their knees with a leg hit, it's going to be rough on them to kneel.

I don't think you understand exactly how this is being planned. It's called a LARP but none of us are taking it to the degrees of official LARP's that you are used to. I think it is basically just people play-battling, I'm sure people will be able to watch their surroundings and be careful.

But this can all be sorted out later.

Maybe this year you could attach a Pocky dispensing barrel. That would be a funny limit move for the LARP movie. BIG POCKY SHOT! And for Smash Bros. effect, it would be after getting the smash ball...

Ohhh smackerdoodle! The smash ball could be a giant toy ball or a pinata, and when someone hits it enough times, they gain their super/limit move! Maybe if someone wearing a mushroom hat could run across the "stage" and when someone grabs it, double their size on camera with digital effects after shooting.
