you thought kumori was on a school day?  hmm... I didn't post that much either right before and after the con.  I mean...2/3 of my posts(thats like...200) are just in the last few days I believe.  largely due to conversely to you.  like that first scattered conversation we had that one morning.  top two posters!  we could carry signs like "Top Kumori Forum Poster" or "2nd Highest Poster on Kumori Forums".   but that may be too weird thoug O_o

I think you're right.  and that tends to go against my nature as I"m overly humble.  like this morning, I went and help out around the house, and when asked who did it, I was like "I dunno". rather then bragging about it or whatever.

I remember seeing that at the Japanese Festival at Omajimaya.  I think they're having another one soon as well.  I never tried it though.

only problem with the place is that they're very expensive.  thats why my mother(who is korean and eats korean food all the time) avoids the place usually.

its a common place that people will refer you to.  I believe its cause its big and somewhat easy to find.  its possible to find smaller stores scattered around town that offer lower prices I believe.  Speaking of my mother....I need to get of hold her to help finsih up my haku cosplay.  and I'm starting to want some korean food!

its okay! ^_^  sometimes I'm a ditz too!....kinda strange though...

anyway, Korean food is really good...but then I've been raised on it.  most famous food they have is kimchi...which is...more or less fermented cabbage O_o.  its stinks real bad(unless you're used to the smell like I am) but it tastes real good.  however there are different kinds and I perfer the red pepper home made kind that my mother has.

then there is bul u gi(sp?) which is ribs marined in soy saunce(and other things).  really good!  then there is a couple of original recipes(at least, I think they are) that my mother made which is spicy chicken and then a spicy pork(well...I think its a pork).

its usually eaten with rice and maybe some seaweed if we want....and both me and my mother use chopsticks(although, she is better then me.  at some point, I'll pull out the fork to finish it all).

I wonder how Japan would react to that....much less cosplayer from other parts of the world.  would this mean a JP school girl uniform suddenly becomes a fashion craze?  or maybe catboy/girls everywhere?  that would be overkill.....would be so much of it you wouldn't want it anymore.

It would be like, Uniform's only for School. You can't wear them in public.

LOL.  uniforms will still be disliked. become attached to school.  although some won't mind.  I didn't mind have to wear my military uniform all the time in the military(some people thought i was crazy for this).   Need presidental approval to be a neko boy/girl?  hmm...Who has your approval then "Ms. President"?

Case you didn't see it yet, that cat boy I mentioned earlier is a shouen ai from what I found.  not that it would stop me if  I decide to cosplay him(he too cute!! X_X besides a costume is a costume)

Ha ha! You thought you could rack up your post counts without me? You young whippersnappers!

Uwajimaya is the grocery store btw, and the store inside is Kinokuniya (which is actually a MAJOR Japanese chain that only has a couple of American shops!). I loved going shipping for Pocky at Uawjimaya, then walking over to Noodleme for some Ramen, andthen renting anime from Animenia!

Unfortunately Noodleme isn't there any more! WAHHHHH!!!

Oh yes.... something for the catgirl lovers out there....

I'm totally getting one of these for my hotel room door!

I love catgirls as much as the next person, but when it comes to the actual animals I like dogs more.

Hey! How could anyone want to see fewer catgirls out there   ? That would be cruelty to animal-people!

As far as actual animals go, I love both dogs and cats, but cats will always have a special spot in my heart since I'm so much like them :D

no not nice at all O_o.  although....it does bring a point...... I think....where are the cat boys?  maybe thats why they suggest the cat girls.  they so much more of them then cat boys.  and those boys are harder to find too.

But still.... why neuter a catGIRL?? Female cats don't get neutered, that's the tomcats...

EDIT: And on another note... Since there ARE fewer catboys, it's more efficient to just neuter them since one catboy can be responsible for several catgirls :P

maybe its cause its so much harder to find them?  I think its just some people think the girls are more annoying or something.  as far as I concerned, dun neuter cat people at all.  unless they want it for some reason or another.

Yep, Kinokuniya is a major chain in Japan.  I know three of their stores in the area and two of them are the largest Kinokuniya stores in the nation.  (Both are in Shinjuku)

I'll have to disagree with you there.  You just have to follow the fangirls.  Eventually one of them will find a cat-boy, right?

maybe, I wouldn't know.  I never really notice a overabunants of catgirls so I'm not going to notice a catboy or two.

I really doubt that every catgirl out there will find a catboy. REEEAALLY doubt it.

Catboy tend to be shy, and bishie, and.... well.... GAY.

Besides, the catgirls have ways of reproducing that don't involve catboys. Trust me on this one.

I think tom means that some catgirls can get pregant without the aid of a catboy.  infect other girls like a virus is also possible...although I think its more like other girls decide to become one o_o.   and catboys being shy makes sense.....so many catgirls...they would get so much attention they would want to hide O_o(I think....)

I saw the catgirl poster and thought of Tom right away, SP is an awesome comic I read all the time and the catgirls they are referring to are the 12 year olds who slap on some furry ears, and run around shrieking about everything they see.  :D  I think catgirls multiply with no outside stimuli, just turn around and there's like twice as many as before.
And now I'm a catgirl?

thats fits into girls deciding they WANT to be a catgirl...so they end up becoming one.....which then creates a chain reaction similiar to nuclear fission.   have one new catgirl, another normal girl sees it and loves it and decides to become one, and then another and another.....

Edit:  Oh Bigguy! You've been reading Lagoon Engine Einsatz?  I just find out about it in my issue of Newtype(march).  Its looks really interesting(and its being released in US before Japan too), would you happen to have the earlier issues of Newtype?  I like to ck them out if I can.

yeah I do sadly =(.  how about at a sakura or kumori con?  just long enough I can read them and find out what happens earlier in the story.  Is that in the march issue?  I didn't get it but I didn't see any of that from it O_o

Easy way to tell most wannabes from real catgirls... The bad japanese and obnoxious attitude ^.^;; That's what the poster's geared towards anyways.

Also, real catgirls are too cute for anyone to get mad at :D ! And many of us do indeed bat at strings and hiss at people we don't like (I know I do at least :P )

wouldn't that mean people get mad at you whenever you get near curtains?  would be interesting sight either way(batting at strings/hissing at people)

curious, what about catboys?  I'm thinking of cosplaying one so I thought I ask.

There aren't any wannabe catboys from what I've seen, the wannabes get driven off by catgirls who are disappointed in their lack of authenticity ^_~

And no, batting at strings is different than batting at curtains. Curtain strings don't move except in the wind, and in those cases, people don't get mad they just get a little exasperated. That goes away once we turn the adorable "who me?" kitty eyes on them tho :P

Any catboy that survives the catgirl inspection, of course. Basically, they're usually either the adorable or the sexy type. They also follow the catperson trend of just acting very catlike (ie: pouncing on things, batting at strings, hissing at people they don't like, etc).

I think I'm out due to the "adorable or the sexy type" qualifications.  However, I have been known to bat at string whenever I'm not doing anything else.

(There's a lamp with a string, you're bored, and you've already done everything else in the room that you can possibly do.  What else would you do?)

I think you have to get an outside opinion on the "adorable" or "sexy" part.   Personally, I'm doubt I'm one either, but then girls in the past have called me cute so who knows O_o.  I can't say I played with string though....I dun think I act much like a cat person unless its one of those things you dun really notice.

Either my memory is really, really, really, really bad,  (which wouldn't surprise me), or no, no one has said that kind of comment to me.

The closest thing I can think of happened in 5th grade... but I'm going to keep that little story a secret.

I didn't really care for those sitcoms.  I watched them a few times, but I personally didn't think they were all the great.  I was more into 1. internet 2. my games 3. anime.

Seinfeld being a "show about nothing" was such a lie. It was a show about four jerks from NYC and how Jerry came up with his comedy routines.

This thread is also a method of boosting postcounts without having to think of actual content.

theres only 3 or 4 of us that have post couts +1000 on that forum and all got custom titles when the forum admin decided to have some fun becuase we had a spam thread going for about 20 pages he came up with some pretty good ones

just thinking of the whole spay cat girl and iwas thinking the reason i found this so funny and was like "yes spay them!!" is because they are somthing i am in danger of becoming, either when i haven't seen any any anime for a while (that why i have so many pokemon cards in my closet)
or am dealing with anti-Otaku  (shutters) and non anime fans, i will just go off on them talking about 5 dif shows and sound tracks and baaad japanese, when they give you that 'look' when they realise your talkin about a cartoon, which automaticly makes what   they  have to say soooo much more important than you, hee hee i think i scare them, (kupo!) and extra joke is they don't know the japanese is bad chomp on that pocky stick those poepls who wouldn't know good anime if you threw it at them like a sailor moon tirara (looks around and blinks, where did that come from? )

I thought of those two situations, but then the major conversations we had were during spring break and when that ended, neko chan didn't appear as much so there we are.

I've kinda lost track of time back in the US and couldn't remember when Spring Break usual takes place.
I know I'm going to get killed for saying this, but Spring Break for me over here has been from the beginning of Feb. to the beginning of April.

Yes... I got loaded with school work, I love spring break beacuse I can stay on the computer all day. xDD Soooo un-healthy fer me though.

I will try and keep up my post count, and it's not just 'acuse I got top poster. It would be so weird if I went around on a buncha' fourms and posted a whole lot... Just so I could be top poster. -shifty eyes- Hmmm...

"I said that? either way, wouldn't it be both fanart/service?"

In hollywood the snack table on a movie set is called the "craft service" table.
so in Japanese anime studios do they have a "fan service" table with a bunch of soft core hentai?

Or maybe it's just a big sturdy table with some yaoi or yuri "performance artists".....

Technically, yes.  The school year ended for Japanese students around Feb. and recently started back up again.  But since I'm coming back home in July, it's like I get two Summer Breaks in one year.  Kinda weird but nice.
