This game is so silly. Infinites weren't as hard as people claimed them to be. F/UCP > this. It's still a fun game, just a bit simplistic. Really fun for casuals imo.

Funny, the only negative opinions of the game are coming from people with no reputations on the forums.

Curious.

But, yeah, I don't really know enough about the gameplay and structure to know what you're talking about. I don't know what infinites are, but I am sure it is a simpler game in contrast to more advanced fighters. I personally will welcome it, because I am just not that good at fighting games. I'm not a fighting game expert, so I will be glad that this is not a complicated combo-fest.

Just because someone doesn't have a reputation doesn't invalidate their opinion. Looking at the content of a post is much more important than looking at someone's history.

At higher levels this game breaks down to whoever has the more ridiculous zoning game. And this game is somewhat of a combofest depending on what char you are playing.  I'm not treating the game as a fighter either, I'm treating it as an action game. I probably should have made that clear my last post.

Also: if you don't know a lot about the gameplay of a game shouldn't you not comment on how someone else thinks about it?

The PSP is region-free. He could have played the Japanese one without hacking it and breaking his warranty. Something to consider for everyone else.

And only a month or so to go before the game comes out! Wooooo!

lol, I don't think anything is unhackable anymore. Hackers have always been smart cookies. You seen Hackers? Great movie, heh

I personally would never hack my PSP, because I don't want to break the warranty. Knowing me, I'd hack it and break it, and then there goes my PSP, lol. But I don't think I will have to hack it, because it plays imports just fine as is.

I'm starting to think that EveoftheAbyss should stop commenting on stuff he doesn't know about. Just because we don't have reps here doesn't mean we don't know what we're talking about, because it's pretty obvious we know a little more than you do. I have to agree with ha~ma that it is more of an action game than fighting game. If this is a fighter, then so is Kingdom Hearts and Devil May Cry.

So, has anyone else heard anything about new releases of Dissidia figures? It's been about six months it seems since the first series of heroes came out. I'm pretty eager to see some villains now.  :)

I've removed several posts in the past day with personal attacks, which aren't allowed on the forums (as well as some non-offending posts, but which would not make sense in isolation). (Some older posts which may have led up to it have not necessarily been removed because they are old and would disrupt the flow of the thread, but this should not be taken to imply all non-deleted posts are acceptable.) As far as I know the primary people involved have been contacted by PM so there should be no further need to continue personal arguments in public threads. Thanks.

I'm getting it on the way home from High School registration on the 25th~ Will so take two days off of cosplay no matter how much I need to get done (Yay procrastination and videogame addictingness) JUST to level Kuja and Zidane to insane levels and power. ^^;

That kinda sucked, actually. xD There WERE a lot of Zacks there that year, though. xD Dane as Beach Zack was pretty epic.

So, what characters are you and Kahlan going to focus on? For me it's all Kuja and Zidane, maybe a bit of Ultimecia.

Watch his attacks end up being all girly. xD He actually fights well, from what I've heard; watched a few youtube clips. Apparently Cloud is ridiculously overpowered, though. And Zidane is the most powerful, depending on what equipments on him and your opinion. xD

Yeah, I'm trying to avoid all reviews, clips and strategies. I want to be completely "uneducated" when I get my hands on the game. I want to learn it and grow with it, rather than getting the game and trying to destroy it with the strongest set-ups from the beginning, you know? I want to be sure to enjoy it and make it last.

That sounds like me with FFIX, to this day. xD I had no idea what it was when I first played it and went "O.O HOMG LOVE!" After playing it. Still play it multiple times a year and now partway through a Perfect Game save with the Excalibur~

There's just some games you can enjoy and last a while and you play over and over, never getting bored. ^^

Yup, for sure.  ;D Going into a game without all the preconceived notions and ideas that people will formulate around you, it really helps to make the game personal to the player, because they can adventure through it individually, pioneering into new places without the guidance or advice of others.

Well, sometimes it's nice. Some puzzles are just too hard to do on your own, lol

... and that's what Gamefaqs is for! xD

I can get so into a game sometimes that I end up memorizing a good portion of the script. xD It's happened with FFIX, part of FFVII, FFVIII, and the entire Pirates of the Caribbean movie. ^^;;

then once I'm done, I do all the crazy challenges and purposely glitch the game for giggles. >: D W-item, Great Gospel, and Level 1 Yuffie glitches for the win <3

How does that glitch the game? Crazy, lol.

And I do the same thing, as far as memorizing lines and chunks of dialogue. It is a pretty key quality of fandom. If you love it, you'll remember it. How do you think people go around referencing things all the time (like we all love to do)? lol

Yes, God of WAr just looks difficult. I never want to try playing it, lol.

And I really look forward to playing against you all at KUmoricon. Hopefully we'll have a chance to.

I'm obviously going to focus on Kuja. :P and I did a little research about how to play to game, the website actually does a pretty good quick tutorial of it. Basically there are two ways to attack, the hp, and courage attacks. HP attacks kill but courage attacks lower the enemies courage making their attacks weaker and yours stronger, when courage gets to 0 you can't attack (at least the other guy can dodge or block it all). There there is air attacks and ground attacks for both types.

And in story mode there is a little map that you have to clear with a certain number of "moves" left before you can battle the boss of that area. It kinda looks like a board game board.

Eve where did you get your game? Maybe we can go together if you got it at the Game Crazy off Hall :3

Kahlan pre-ordered our games at the Gamestop in Sherwood, so the location at 21155 SW BALER WAY STE 105.

It's a different location, but still would be fun to just hang out and play if you or anyone is down.  ;D
