SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING.
« on: June 04, 2009, 04:42:34 pm »
It's all over the tv channels.

"DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED SOME WEAK ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM. WHILE NOT IMMEDIATELY LIKELY...A TORNADO MAY STILL DEVELOP. IF A TORNADO IS SPOTTED...ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM."

....Wtf is happening?

It's already happening here in Forest Grove. The wind's really kicked up. I was playing Kingdom Hearts1 a little bit ago and when the wind first kicked up I was naturally face planted glued to the window. But when the window started to rattel real bad and I heard howling time stopped for like a second as I'm standing there staring out the window. I thought to my self: 'Get away from the window getawayfromthewindowgetawayfromthewindowgetawayfromthewindow! Shattered glass in the eye MOVE Fallon MOVE' then I bolted to the bathroom and locked myself in the bathroom XDD

I am terrified of wind storms, so I am very thankful my dad is home today so I can stay close to him. ;~;

I sprinted from my mom's car to the house, because I live on the highest part of OC on a huge hill, and someone was struck by lightening in Portland today.  :D

Lol, the odds are totally off that I would get hit, but I was still all GOGOGOGOGOO...

One of my friends texted me and she was hiding under her blankets in her room crying. D: I'm glad I'm not frightened of storms.

ha ha my family was blaming me for the wind that all of a sudden came because as soon as I walked into the drive way the wind just gushed in right behind me. XD

its all over now. happened quicker then I thought it would. :/

I don't think they did, at least they didn't in my area. When it started to pour the streets were flooded in a matter of minutes. I think it took about three minutes for the water to be ankle high on me.

I would say that's lucky. x.x
My dog (seven years) and I were both huddled in a corner on the floor the entire time. My dad's dog (only one year) was oblivious to everything and thought it was funny so she kept trying to get us to move. She's a pest. =_=

I love thunderstorms though, so I'm actually sad that I missed it. My body was tired though and I couldn't keep myself awake to watch it XD

I'm not really worried about storms and stuff much cause I used to live in Florida and I went through the like the 3 major hurricanes.
That was much scarier then a thunder storm XD

So I was playing Mario Kart Double Dash (and winning) today around 5ish and suddenly we hear this surreal BOOM and the entire house shakes.  That was some MONDO freaking lightning.  Especially considering the fact that we were only 2 or 3 miles from the airport so we'd been blocking out deep, loud sounds all day.

I wish the storm would have lasted longer here..was only about an hour or so though. I'm with Maki on this one, the rain was definitely welcome because it has been way too freaking hot lately.

Now if only I would stop being lazy and get my AC installed <.<

Before the lightning hit in Tigard, me and my friend were watching Invader Zim. We looked out the window and saw leaves and flower peatals flying all around. So naturally we were all lik "O.o Let's go outside!!!!" So we did and we got pelted by twigs and leaves and stuff. We went inside when we started to hear the tree cracking and a few branches fell off xD

I love wind storms...exept when you are home alone when its dark and you get all paranoid and can hear every little noise. (that happened in the last big windstorm)

Our power went out for most of yesterday. From 4:30 pm to 1:30 am. I HATED IT. The storm wasn't even that bad where I am but the wind was going 60 MPH so it knocked some kind of electric generator over or something so we couldn't get it fixed. I'm just glad it's all over, Oregon has some pretty nasty weather sometimes, eh?~
