This is why manually managing it is better; iTunes just carelessly destroys data to match what it wants there to be on your iPod.

Well....Pirating is bad!

I'm just kidding, of course, but for future reference, if you don't want your ipod to sync, make sure it is set to manual and uncheck music in it's sync settings, it won't even bring up the option of replacing what you have on your ipod.

That's what it was on, but I've been using my Ipod as a jump drive lately for homework and I never "safely remove the device" so that might've messed it up a bit.

I'm copying the music from my folder into my Ipod right now and there's around 1k songs but a lot of them are doubles. AHHH CAN'T WAIT TO SIFT THROUGH EVERYTHING

i sink my ipod cause i cant figure out how to manage it myself TT_TT;;;

but the only songs ive ever lost have been few, mostly songs with no words to them that i write to D: i cant play em on itunes and they got this lil exclimation thingy next to it TT_TT wich sucks cause i want me songs back!

but anyways osla that does suck xD hope you can get your songs back

I could get them back if I had saved them onto my compy bu I never did so oh well.
