So I've pretty much decided that I am going to do a Mal costume (Firefly version) so I am wondering if anyone else was interested in doing a Firefly/Serenity group?

I've always wanted to do either Kaylee as mechanic, Kaylee in Asian finery with hair up, or Saffron as originally met as the "innocent" at the dance

Maybe I'll get around to finally doing this outfit; or I'll just go with what I already have, some thing like this, but purple.

Though I'm not sure my hair will be the right length.

Ironically, just the other day when I was watching the last episode, I was thinking about how awesome it would be to see Firefly cosplayers. xD

I pretty much know where to acquire everything except for the boots so now it is just a matter of having the money to buy it all. Already bought the pistol so I am set on doing this costume.

@ Miria: Ahh, I see. There were actually a couple Firefly cosplayers at this past K-con. I saw a Kaylee and a River.

This will be so cool!~ 8D River was actually my first cosplay and I have wanted to do something like this since I first went as her to Sakura-Con a couple years ago (nobody recognized me then... xD).

I totally ran down a Kaylee cosplayer at Kcon this year. I saw the bear sewed onto her pants and put the rest together after that. I love Kaylee!!

Well I need to watch the ep again (aww, twist my arm, lol) but I have a lot of cosplay clothes from when I larped for years in the SCA (Rennaisance type stuff) so I might have something appropriate. Meantime as for Jayne (Pretty sure there's a y in there folks) I think it would be hellacool to pose like the statue they have on that planet where he let the money fly.....and they sing "The Man They Call Jayne" tribute song....

Okay I definitely have some clothes that would work towards her "innocent" look (and of course would walk around with a yellow feather garland lol). But really having watched Our Mrs. Reynolds and Trash again just now, and having longish dark hair instead of shortish blond hair, I think the most fun would be Inara's outfit when she
spoilers!!

holds the gun to Saffron inside the trash bin, where she's wearing the black veil and finery.....yeah if I can come up with that that would rock.

I would probably do all the males...Just because I could possiblly pull them off!
I'm hoping she does another Firefly in 2010, just so I can cosplay from it as well!

Though, if I can convince my friend to also do a cosplay from Firefly, then I could do it as well (if I have enough time and money...)

She is! And I find it a little annoying with pure white girls cosplay as Zoe...And most of the time I have to guess because they don't look like her that well (beside the skin)
I've seen too many Rivers though, I guess it's because she's so easy?

Mal's shindig outfit doesn't look like it'd be too terribly difficult so I might have to do that version as well! Just watched that episode again and the hardest part would probably be the coat itself. Took a bunch of screenshots so now it is time to see if I can hunt a coat like it down.

The hardest part would be finding jewelry to match ans either styling a wig or getting my hair like that x.x
