And let's say I want to do one. I'll have to put mine way out in summer just to avoid competing with events everyone else is running. Apparently my artist meet flopped and died. And everyone else is vying for February and March, while April most will be concentrating on Sakuracon, including me.

yeah it is kinda bad....

and Turbo have you ever thought about planing your event in June? The reason I have so many people come to mine is because I give them time to plan for it. So if you want to plan something plan it in advance not two weeks before >_>

Except that not everyone can see that far ahead, even me. I know that June means no more school, which frees up weekdays mostly. Beach trip?? Waterfront Park fountain, bring your suit and walk through it? Just like I did with Trunks and his "water jutsu power up" moment. But who says it won't sink below 10 other topics to somewhere in the already done and over with topics?

Usually it's good to plan things at least a month ahead, then people can anticipate it and plan other things around it.

By the way no one plan anything in July because I have a secret event in mind

And planning it far in advance will MAKE people look that far so when something DOES come up they can say they are busy that day.

I think you should re-read the quote you were talking about here, or consider that you post late also sometimes, not just me. I was thinking out loud just then, about possibilities for an event. I do know that my after-MEWcon event didn't light up with posts and people reading it until AFTER MEWcon. I'm just saying that something this far away might drift that far down because everyone's discussing the stuff happening before then, but my worry about it is minimal.

I am looking at an event in June. Someone already called July, so I'm not worried. But I'm not going to plan one any sooner because it might land on the same day as someone else's. And I don't want to go and have some silly war of two people advertising their events on the same weekend. I know what I need to know now, but additional drama, tension, and super saiyan-ness isn't going to help.

Actually you thought about things for a moment then went back to pessimistic thinking saying it was going to drop.

Also just because someone is planing an event in one month doesn't mean that the whole month is taken up. The event is going to be ONE DAY! O.O I know right?! It seem so weird to think that the meet-ups we plan will only last one day. Who could have fathomed that?

I see that you have planed something and good luck with that. You need to find people and directly ask them sometimes.

Yes but one day out of 31 others. 30 of which something could be on that day. But then that's unavoidable. No matter what day it is someone isn't going to be able to come just because, things happen. it's just like landing a plane, the closer you get to touchdown, the easier it is to see and adjust so that most of everyone can land at the party.

Okay...does the "calendar" topic this forum has, have the updated dates of these events? If not, I recommend that you recommend that it be posted so that you can stop smiting with big letters just because I don't check your event day changes as often as you do. And every time I come back to them, they change again!

I know it's a ways away from now since there's February to burn through first, but a faint one would be appreciated. I don't want to repeat a Feb 7th issue.
