Obvious if your cosplaying America but anyone else?
The main and one of the only reasons I chose Ukraine is because I'm half Ukrainian

I plan to. I'm going to cosplay as Belarus sometime (but not for K-con 'cause I have too many costumes planned) and ancestors from both sides of my family were from somewhere 'round there. That was a long time ago... But yeah. :]

I suggest finding a military surplus store. I know there's one in Aloha, which is where I got my uniform. For N.Italy, the only problem with the uniform you are going to find is that it's probably not going to be the right color. The closest I could find was airforce blue.

I still don't know where to find the kind of boots he wears, but I'm working on it. @_@

As for the wig, you should purchase it from whatever company you like. XD The curl will probably be your main challenge, so here's a tutorial for making anime-style antenna bangs/curls. :3 http://tristencitrine.com/tutorials/antennabangs.html

I still haven't gotten my wig yet, so I'm probably not much help here. @_@

So my boyfriend has taken interest in this now and wants to cosplay as America. There's no chance in hell that I'm going to make his costume so I was wondering if...

1. Anyone has a picture of what his uniform looks like without the jacket. My bf is really into military mumbo-jumbo and was saying that it looked more like a nazi style uniform then an American one and was just curious.

2. This military store in Aloha. Has anyone gotten an America uniform from there? I'm just curious since I *really* would not enjoy driving out there to find nothing.

I'm not really an expert on Nazi uniforms, but from what I've seen, USA-kun's uniform doesn't really look Naziesque to me. (but, come to think of it, didn't the SA wear brown? D: )

I don't have any pictures of Alfred without the jacket. I'll try finding some, though!

Americas outfit is essentially the same as Lithuanias, england's, and the other nations, only his is tan insted of the many shades of green~

You'll probably be able to find an America-style uniform at the military surplus store in Aloha. Most of their dress-uniforms are olive drab or tan. :3 They even have sailor uniforms~

And knives, swords, belts, boots, etc. X3

I guess with so many different outfits for Italy now I can stop worrying about the color of my uniform. XD

Okay, so...I was looking through all of the outfits for the characters http://s583.photobucket.com/albums/ss279/hetaliacosplay/ here and I noticed that one of Poland's outfits is blue. And then it hit me: I have a wig that's just like Poland's hair. :'D So, closet!cosplay Poland time. Even though the collar of the uniform is the wrong kind, and I don't have his mini-cape. D':

So, after much deliberation, I've decided that I'm going to do both UK AND Sitaly! : D But there's a catch: There's no way in Hell I could afford two uniforms, so I'm doing Sitaly in his normal uniform and a crazy spoof of drunken Angel UK. I'll prolly be UK on the photoshoot day/whatever day our friend is being America, and be Sitaly on some other day cuz I don't have a Spain. ._. But it shall still be loads of fun ~~cuz I don't have to watch my language out of conspace~~ cuz I channel Sitaly like Hashi channels housewife!Lithuania. Which is a lot. |D

I might end up wearing Ukraine only to the picnic the day before unless the meetup doesn't conflict with other meetups I'm going to. Four cosplays is too much but I want to do them all so bad!

He did, I think part of it is he randomly lost interest once he found out that we were doing White and Black Mage for Kumoricon. He told me he doesn't want to make a ton of costumes and just wear out the ones that I we have.
