Keep Portland Weird! Success and lots of fluff!
« on: November 08, 2008, 07:26:24 pm »
Keep Portland weird went very well. We had a few staffers and a couple volunteers who spent the day standing and glueing their fingers together LOL!

We made cat ears and over took an entire floor area of the library! Even the Library people running the entire festival said we had the most popular booth!

Lots and lots of fluffy ears, and lots and lots of thanks to all who helped or came out to support us!

Here's some fun pics of our madness!

*And Yes, we managed to put cat ears on the baby. LOL!*

Thanks again SOOOOO much Devin! (For those who dont know he was just an attendee that showed up as early as we did and when we made our first batch of ears he helped us, then he just helped us all day as we were pretty short staffed.) Really saved the day!

Kumoricon was given 3 tables in a U shape. We had 2 doing cat ears and the other doing merch/reg stuff. We also had 2008 video clips going so the crowd could see what we really were. We had the stuff to do Go but not nearly enough room. There were lots of other cool groups with stuff to see and do too. :)

Sounds like it would be fun. Maybe if kumoricon has a booth next year I'll try to make it...or whenever the next one is.

Also were there many cosplayers?

There were a couple, but we we covered the entire event in cat ears though! We ALWAYS encourage cosplay, maybe next year we can have tons!

I'm just not a big fan of cosplaying when there are very few. By myself I am very shy but in a group I get much more outgoing.
