It'll be a while, but eventually I'd like to make some, heh.

It won't happen until after I help Marie with her cosplay prop, though. Some giant key with a smiley face head on it, lol.

Tee hee yeah that's the one. Only.. our key will hopefully turn out better and look more durable. XD
Eve if you have other things to work on you don't have to help me out! You were just the first person I could think of that's really talented with giant props.
You could just give me ideas and advice on how to do it/what to use.

The giant pink key from Guilty Gear, right? PVC for the main part of it, definitely. Then use something much lighter for the rest.

I'm thinking either LEDs or El-wire for the light-up face of my hammer.

Nah, I don't have anything else I need to work on. I'm taking a break from my own cosplay and props and what-not, but I do definitely want to help you out with the massive key (does it have a name, by the way? I'm just curious).

I am still thinking it out, but I'd say for the main bulk of it use a large pvc pipe, and......hmm....you could carve and shape wedge out of craft foam/polystyrene then take plastic sheeting and wrap it around the pipe and gluing it to the craft foam wedge. This way, it would leave a tunnel for the pipe to slide into, and then you'd have the ridged key end. heh, I'm not explaining this that well but I can explain it better next time I see you, lol. I've got some plans though.

I was thinking PVC pipe, too. At least for the main part of it.

Lt. are you going to make a large hammer like the one girl did from K-con?
It seems like since she showed up everyone and their mothers wants to Cosplay Lavi. x.x But good luck!

Eve the Key's name is Paracelsus. And yeah I have no idea what you're trying to tell me. XD I'm not familiar with prop making material. But if you could estimate how much it would cost to make it, that'd be awesome. :-O

EveofAbyss - Oh man, I was stoked when I saw you were makin' Hellboy, but WARD!?! THANK YOU!!! XD I've always wanted to see either a Ward or a Kiros, you rock! ^^

nikkiolie - Wow, that bone sword is beautiful!! O_O

Chandra Nalaar - haha, dieNote is hilarious. If it existed I might actually be able to finally decide what laptop I'd wanna buy. XD;

Props are always so much fun. Found out this past year I'm better at those than sewing (which honestly isn't saying much) when I made some weapons from Persona 3 (no pictures, sadly...) and Valiant, Irvine's shotgun. I hope to do a cosplay sometime that requires some amazing or outlandish prop, that would be a really fun challenge. One thing I want to dabble in is working with LEDs or something. A prop that would basically be a huge, complicated glowstick would be amazing. @_@ *loves glowsticks a little too much*

I think before I cosplay Temari again I want to get a fan that is more of the right height. The one I have when it is out is good but close not so much, its too short. =/

Alright, well, this is just approximate of course, but lessee....

.020" Plastic Styrene Sheeting: $8-15
4-5"-diameter PVC Pipe: $4-8
Polystyrene: $20-26
Craft foam: $7/roll (I don't imagine you'd need more than one roll)
Paints: $10-20, depending on how much is needed

This is the basics, I'm still planning some stuff, but I think this is is the essential list. Hope this helps and let me know when you want to get moving on getting this made. ^_^

Yup, Lowe's, Home Depot, and JoAnne Fabrics. The one I linked to is the only one you would have to order from that store I linked to.

Soo, yeah, I start school the last week of September, so if you want to meet up before then, I'm good on pretty much any day. After that, though, it'll probably have to be on the weekend. Just give me a call when you want to meet up.

As far as epic props, I cant say I have any, but one cosplay I would like to do at some point is Vergil's Devil Trigger from Devil May Cry 3.

And more or less, the entire costume would be an epic prop. Although, it would be sweet to be able to actually remove the sword from his arm-sheath.

Hopefully that image shows up, for those that don't know what it looks like.
Who wants a hug from the Hitman/Generic Turk/Vergil?

Convenient! I can't meet up this weekend, cause I'll be in Seattle, but maybe sometime next week or something would work. I don't think I'm doing much then.

Hmm... Well, for Yuna next con the only two props are the veil and the Nirvana Staff (her ultimate weapon). The dress itself is epic, though. All those feathers... @.@

Anyway... How about we skip a year to con in two years to my epic of epic props? Here's all the pics I could find... though it's not all of them.
Main costume: (The gun she is holding is one of the props. A giant gatling gun)
http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk232/MewMewAquaBlu145/Xenosaga/KosmoS/newkosmos.jpg
The Gatling Guns: (better picture of both of them)
http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/TifaIsMyBitch/Xenosaga/Kos-Mos-3.jpg
X-Buster: (going to just have it so I can open up the front of the costume to reveal the red insides... maybe install flashing blue lights
http://images.bluelaguna.net/xs3/fmvs/fmv3781/fmv3781-60.jpg
Tertiary Weapons System: (Kinda fuzzy... only probably worn for the soaplay contest, seeing as it would be impossible to traverse the halls with it on)
http://images.bluelaguna.net/xs3/fmvs/fmv3800/fmv3800-82.jpg
V-Slayer: (The one she's holding)
http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z296/ChristopherTeese/Image20070618103422431.jpg
D-Teneritas: (probably have a flashing blue light in the center too)
http://images.bluelaguna.net/xs3/fmvs/fmv3895/fmv3895-65.jpg
MAGDALENE: (the gun in her left hand)
http://www.freewebs.com/raijin-akuma2/kosmos/3D-Kosmos.jpg
R-CANNON: (can't find a pic, so it's in a video at about 1:37. Also the Episode 1 version. The Episode 3, which I'm doing, is three or four times bigger with a long rod sticking out of the back)
