Hello!

Well I been thinking for a while, and was wondering if other people would be interested on these. I mean I personally love J-Rock, J-Pop, Visual Kei, Gothic Lolita, and I know a few people that do as well. It just happens to not be very big here on Oregon. So I was wondering if other people would be interested on a Big Party. It might help to spread the wonderful J-Rock music. These is just something that has been on my mind for a while. And I would like to hear everyone that Likes/Loves J-Rock opinions.

Then yeah, for sure. I'd love to have a J-Rock/Visual Kei Party/event at Kumoricon 2009. We could listen/discuss music, watch videos....and other fun stuff too, lol.

Yes, I think it would be really awesome. I would really like to organize a Big Party for K-Con 2009. Something that everyone could enjoy, and just have a great time learning about so many different J-Rock Bands. And maybe start to like some bands they never heard of before.

Haaaaaaaaylze yeah! Kumoricon needs more J-Rock related activities.
I kinda feel left out when I go to conventions, cuz well I'm just not that
big on Anime, I'm more into the music than anything really, lol... ^_^

The last time I was at Kumori I just wandered around until I found a room that was playing a live DVD of The Gazette on one of those huge wall projector jiggies. I also ended up giving the dude running the room my DVD of Diru's "It Withers & Withers" (it was a bootleg I got on gkworld.com, so I didn't care much and I like being randomly generous to people), could it be something like that perhaps? Or would this be more like a J-Rock cosplay party?

That'd be cool, especially if people brought their own DVD's of stuff they wanted to show.
I know there's alot of karaoke subbed Diru videos floating around teh intarwebz, mayhaps
burn a couple of those onto a DVD, also for music Fred Myer has this really neat stereo
that plays MP3 / WMA disc along with CD's and stuff. Then there's those Ipod station
thingamajigs, but I like the former idea better as people could just bring burned discs.

Said unit also has ID3 tag capability and stuff too.

Well I'm working on a website. ^___^

It's still under construction just started it. So far I only have Miyavi, and Dir En Grey.
I'm still adding more, and finishing the other bands listed.
I did add a picture for each band, and I will also add videos, info, and sample music like Miyavi, and Dir En Grey.
If there is a band you want to see added there give me that name of it.

I'd suggest Malice Mizer and Juka also. Malice Mizer because you have Gackt featured (who was once the vocalist of Malice Mizer), and Juka because you have Moi Dix Mois featured (and Juka used to be the vocalist for the band and now has been solo for a few years, very successfully until recently due to health issues).

That Dir page looks fantastic. A really great collection of material. I had never seen the older photos of them and am really surprised at how drastically their appearance has changed. Visual Kei...I love it and am really interested in hearing how they used to sound now.

Awesome. I really like "Marrow of a Bone", though it is a far cry from anything I'd ever have imagined began as Visual Kei, heh. I think their style is the most western sounding out of all the Jrock bands (and that could be why they have toured here more than any other), but yeah, I think it's interesting how they've evolved. I do very much look forward to that next album.

So I will definitely be on the hunt for any good J-Rock/Kei DVD's at Kumoricon. If I find anything good, you can bet I'll have it with me in 2009 for this thing. I've already got Scars of Sabbath I could bring, so hopefully I'll be adding to that.
