ya i am and my sis are when we have time i taking her out to diner the first day with Matt and his bro 2 i guess cues she invited them we are going to the Thai place on the map of food places by con so we cant do night both days

We have $116 in bills and I haven't counted the coins yet. We have changed our goal and plan on splitting the money. Half will go to a dinner out on Sunday the 24th and half will go to September 20th picnic.

i guess a lot of people are mad cues we arnt using it for ice skating witch we should do cues thats what this was for cues some of the older people change there mind so every no one can go ice skating i count my money i don't have the money to take my sis ice skating cues i giving her a lot to help her fish her cospaly witch we have been saving for over 9 month so we should have had a vote cues i think it was a little unfair that just some people don't want to ice skate that mean we have to change are complete plans

fine we can vote. I don't really care what we do. I am not planing on going iceskating during the con. If we do it after then I'll go but a lot of people don't want to spend their money on renting a rink for an hour when it could be used for other reasons. I'll make a topic with a poll that way everything is a secret.

Maybe to raise money you should think about having a bake sale in a neighborhood or have a garage sale or something. Even if we were to rent the rink out you would still have to pay to rent skates. So you would run into the same issue. I have a feeling we wont have enough or barely enough to rent the rink and nothing left.

I am tired of people talking about their money problems. I know it sucks, it must really suck and i can't even comprehend it because I have never been in that kind of situation. But my parents wouldn't give me spending money for the con so I got a job. So if money is an issue find a way to get it. Don't use events like this were we plan on using the money to do something TOGETHER for yourself. I think that is kind of selfish and rude.

I am a huge activist and if things aren't going right in your life then you need to change something.

Well there is a topic up for people to choose how to spend the money. It seems to me (by all the talk) that people want to spend the money on either camping or dinner or for others to have food and extra money during the con. Maybe two or three people want it for the rink anymore. I'm tired of arguing about this I think we should just use it for the rink and nothing else. Not going to dinner afterwards or paying for peoples food or rental skates. Just for the rink. But we are going to go with what the majority want. I'll leave th poll up till Sunday night then I am taking it down and what ever has the most votes is what we are spending the money on. Its as simple as that.

Okay, I think Nikkiolie's main point was that the people making the complaints are not helping the situation. Protesting the available options is not creating an option, you follow? This whole situation just seems to lack activism and assertiveness, if I may try to paraphrase Nikki's post. Instead of saying "these plans stink" or whatever, people need to just stick to their guns, state their ideas and then let them simmer, so to speak.

That sounds like the simplest idea. I don't really know why people even started suggesting other ideas since they all initially jumped on board with the ice rink plan. *shrugs* People are weird, lol.

I think that is what we should do too. I wont be able to go skating during the con so the only time that I could go would be after. Camping would be a really fun idea but it wont work out for some people and we need to do something that everyone would enjoy.

Well also you don't just have to skate, you can hang out and talk say good bye, go shopping hang out by the vending machines and eat useless little $1.50 snacks while laughing at your falling friends who are skating... that sounds fun. We also have to make a video of Mario ice skating.

Arguing is one of the few things I do on the board, I only argue when I see that there's a problem no one else is stating. It's like an elephant on the table kind of thing. Or maybe it was just me that saw what the money was going to was a big waste for something we spent so much time and energy on.
I don't usually argue, mostly I keep my mouth shut, but this was something that I felt needed to be addressed, and the arguing mood helped that fact. But whatever the case, if we're using this for skating, then I won't be attending the next carwash.

I'd rather I was aware what the money was going to BEFORE I worked a few hours for it, then work and it end up going to something ridiculous. If it is going toward the 20th, then that's fine with me.

I think that is where it should go as well. I like that idea. Everyone had a lot of fun at the picnic and I'm sure this next one will be a blast where ice skating is something only a few people want to do. Plus there is a free skate that people can go to.

I agree with Sayda. The money should go to September 20th.

I really don't know what it should go to. I want to make people happy but what ever we choose someone will be unhappy.

I was suggesting the rink because I thought that would calm some but it doesn't look like it. so since that isn't going to work I am going to suggest what I want to spend the money on. I want it to go to the sept 20th. If some don't want to split the money between the gift and the food then we can do a third and two thirds.....but ultimately it is up to spleen since she is organizing this.
