I've read through a bunch of topics here, and it looks like a lot of us in Eugene really want to have some sort of meetup, because let's face it, nothing really happens here, and all those Portlanders shouldn't get to have all the fun! D: From what I've read, though, there doesn't seem to be anything definite planned...

SO! All you other Eugene people! Yes, you! I don't care who you are, if you cosplay or not, if you're a KH fan or not, I propose that we ALL get together and have some crazy awesome times!

This month, even! When works best for you?

Those of us who do cosplay can come in our favorite costume, but those of us who don't can wear whatever and not feel bad about it! We can all meet up in some conspicuous public place (downtown? A park? The mall? Got any good ideas?) and talk about all the awesome things we like, play lots of silly impromptu games, make new friends... sort of like the actual con, except much much smaller and easier to get to (and free, of course!)!

So what do you say?!

This sounds great! Me and my friend live in Oakland/Roseburg, but we'd be willing to treck to Eugene for good times! I'd be Light, and she Mikami

I really like the mall in Eugene, so that sounds good, at least for a little while

I have Summer School (T_T) so It'd have to be on a ~~Fri-Sun. Saturday~~ sounds the best though, IMO

To this I say yay!

Edit: I just talked to my dad and he'll take me and Mikami up to Eugene on a Sunday since that's is day off. So Sunday would be a good day

As far as weekends go, I know I'll only be here next weekend (as in not this one over 4th of July, but the next one). That's it. >> We were trying to get a meetup sometime next week during the weekdays, since most of my friends will be in town then. We could obviously have multiple meetups, though. ^^

I think Valley River, a park, or 5th St Market would be fun places to meet up. I'm also a huge fan of Toshi's Ramen and Milky Way's bubble tea, if we want to eat somewhere. X3 Other than that, I'm fine with anything. I REALLY wanna meet ya'll, cuz it's silly that we all live in Eugene but have never met. XP

I say we all get together on Sunday the 13th at Valley River Center (since that's a day when everyone can get together) and hang around for a while and maybe go see a movie or something. If I don't overheat in my Org. cloak, I'll face off on the DDR in the Cinemark against anyone that wants to. 'Sides, I'm bringing a lot of my costumes over to my dad's that weekend anyway!

Maybe I'll wear Konan so I don't die of exhaustion...

Yeah, definitely Riku. If I wore something like my TB nun I wouldn't be able to move. That is a very 'stand there and let people take pictures' kind of costume. Or at least the left side of my bod is in that... I can move my right side! Good thing I'm right-handed!

I'll bring my sketchbook! It's got some seriously crack-tastic stuff in it, though. Like for instance a half-colored version of Cloud Strife as a Senator in the Galactic Republic. You know, Star Wars? I need to finish coloring him. Valor Form Kairi, KH versions of Vincent Valentine and a half-finished one of Grimmjow Jagerjacques... I'll have to bring that. I wonder if my bus pass is still good...

XD my bus pass on my school ID says 'Valid until further notice', so I have no clue if it's still good or not. But bussing to Toshi's in costume sounds like amazing fun. I want me some Gyoza ramen! (I get Gyoza and soy sauce-based ramen, and put the Gyoza in the ramen : D best stuff ever!)

Bussing all the way to Gateway, too? We could go invade Tilt and play DDR until they realize that I'm banned and kick us out! (Long story, don't ask...)

Anyone up for maybe seeing the second Hellboy while we're there?

I'm a poor art student and I can't afford to pay for a movie now, honestly. ^^; It's a stretch getting ramen, even, but I love it so much and have been wanting to go back there for ages that I want to do it anyway. Gyoza in ramen sounds awesome, by the way *_* I've never had their gyoza before, but I saw someone order them once and they looked so yummy! <3

I have no idea what's in my sketchbook, actually (been busy the whole year with assignments!), but I'd definitely love to do some sketches to trade on the spot! x3

I'm totally up for DDR if we do go to Gateway!

I don't like the machine at Tilt though, it's bootlegged and kinda crappy... we could go to the one at Movies 12? It's got better pads than the one at 17 if memory serves me~

Wellll, if we're going to Toshi's, we should probably have the meetup on a weekday since the buses are more reliable then (and they're not open on Sundays anyway). Anyone who actually has stuff planned for the rest of the month have any days that would be best for them? I'm pretty much free after the fair is over, aside for some plushie commissions which I can do whenever. ^^;

For reference, Toshi's is open Mon-Sat 11am-3pm and 5pm-9pm. Which works since Hashi will have to leave at 4. ^^ Now we just need an actual date! I'm good almost any day as far as I know, but the closer to the con, the more likely I can meet up oddly enough. I'll be more likely to have everything finished by then. XD

@Richie: They are bigger than most ramen servings that you can get in teh US. So in that sense, they are quite large. Some people can only eat half a bowl *coughHashicough*

@Richie: Yes, it definitely tasted like flowers! I know one of you tasted mine and agreed with me, though I don't remember who. ^^; The strawberry bubble tea really does taste like flowers~ Well, more like it tastes like how flowers smell, but.

Also, I came to Toshi's hungry, and I can eat a ton, but I was only able to get about three-fourths of the way through the bowl before I had to get a tub to take the rest home in. It's very big. I guess if we were talking while we were eating, it could take a long time... but not three hours! xD

Oh god, taking over Toshi's sounds like a GREAT idea <3 We'd be good for publicity anyway!

Now I want ramen right now, hahaha xD Oh man I'm hungry. Got to go find food~

Well, I'm not sure which bus you're thinking of, but the 82 (the LCC bus) will drop you off either right in front of Toshi's or within a block of it. I go past it every day when I'm in school.

On Monday it'll leave the station at 10, 10:30, 11, 11:30, and 12:10. I'm not sure which of these times we'll be aiming for, but the 82's probably as frequent as we're going to get. We should all meet at the same stop~
