and my list of things has grown, i started searching for purple converse today for kairi.... they dont make them anymore -o- so instead i but purple fabric die, that blue tapey stuff, and a pair of white converse *sighs* gotta dye em tommorrow while i hem my other costume, dust off old bluey, and buy wigs cause the wig store was closed....

You know what's weird? Back in high school we did the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and had outfits in there really similar to that O.o

it was hella hard to make -o- spent 8 hours on it.... and thankfully most of the feathers are still intact but gotta resew a few of them when i put it on again...

believe it or not this was an extra credit asignment for science

Okay, I'm trying to get as much done as possible on Ashitaka, but it's hard to cut plywood when all you have is a handsaw, an exacto knife, and sandpaper. Especially curves. I don't know how I'm going to get the middle of the ring out.

Anyway, here's what I've got so far.

Outfit in progress:

Hood down, tunic close up, hood and wig, wig 1, wig 2, unfinished sword, straw rain cloak
San wig 1, wig 2

Sorry for any wrinkles, I haven't ironed anything since I got home from AE.

Shot of me in the outfit from Anime Evolution this past weekend:

Things that I know need to be worked on:

- Paint the sword and wrap the grip
- Re-wrap the grip of the bow with dark fabric
- Finish my red pouch (needs to be hemmed)
- Fix the armcovers (they were just pinned to a tank top underneath the tunic; they need ties across the chest)
- Stiffen the face cover of the hood
- Trim the wig a little
- Layer the straw on the cloak somewhat so it's not all the same length
- Make the quiver and chaps (maybe, if I've got time)
- Make the small jeweled dagger

Anything else?

I don't have my full costume assembled just yet, but I'm doing Link from Twilight Princess, who is a scrounge and an item whore, so details matter.

alright tonight me and Kenzie are turnin the great blue into it its final stage as a river chocobo! AND IT IS RETIRING AFTER WORDS cause it takes like an hour and a half to put on counting make up and hair. (done by my wonderful friend Kenzie) so tonight shall be epic

the great blue gets a makeover, and now its going to be harder to put on cause of the added chocobo tail.... and my make up will be a lot more extreme....

ah well

We'll see if I can get that compression shirt dyed in time, 'cause I wanna do shirtless Ashitaka if at all possible.

Anyone have tips on black shorts for Aqua? I just realized the ones I'm wearing for Yuna's songstress costume are pretty short.

Cause I kid you not, the black shorts for Yuna's costume are really short - designed to be under her lace skirt... Not really meant to be worn just them- and I don't want to be breaking any kind of con rules about covering up. Not that that'd be a problem--- the shirt's got a skirt in the back and the sides have two long pieces of fabric too. And there's knee high socks too... x_x So just try and wing it, or... ?

spankie= an underwear like thing under short skirts or sort shorts. can come in boy short form or granny panitys style. (One of the few things i learned from cheerleading)

and yea i have a belt its just with the purse on the vanity right now that couldnt be seen in the picture, but yeah you can see my kairiand a part of my Mel in that pic (whicsh is still being hemmed) and the chocobo is now off to the side as we spray painted the feathers blue

Oh I dunno where to buy those, but those are too short I'd think for Aqua's... The shorts I have for Yuna are a bit longer than spankies. But Aqua's shorts look longer to me Oo;
