I need a bike

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this subject, so, my bad if I got it wrong.

But with the price of gas rising, my car's constantly living with the gas light on.
I'm moving out on my own in a few months, and I'm going to have to rely more on public transportation.
My bike had to sit out in the wheather for a year, due to our lack of space in the shed, and is no longer able to ride.
Do any of you have a bike that you don't use anymore, that's ridable and in decent shape?
I'd be willing to buy it for a reasonable price. My price range is anything under 100$. Preferably below 80$.
I'm 5'7" - 5'8", so I'd need a bike that I would fit. ~ ~

I've got a blue mountain bike that's been sitting in my garage for a while...I have to pump the tires and see if it still works. If it does I'll post pictures of it ASAP.

Okay so I inspected the thing, and it still works! Tires are still pretty good, there's a bit of rust speckling it here and there, but I can clean that off for you. The front brakes don't work but the back ones do (does that matter to you since you'll be using it for commuting and not mountain biking?).


As far as price goes, my dad still hasn't decided on the price. We paid over $200 for it but I'm sure we won't charge you over what you want. So yeah...how quickly do you need this bike?

Awesome. The rust doesn't bother me, and neither will the front brakes. The back ones are more important anyway. XD

I don't need the bike right away, but within the next week or two would be sweet. Could you post a picture of it so I could see? Also, just lemme know when your dad decides on a price!

I'll fix your bike up for $20.  Maybe more if it's REALLY bad, but I'm guessing that a new chain and new tubes and a bit of WD-40 would have it working like a charm.

I'm not so sure. The tire runs against the metal frame that supports it, and the gauges are all screwed up.

Long story short, I found a bike lying around tonight about an hour ago when I was carless, so I kind of just.. took it. ~ ~;;
I wanted to go home, but a friend wouldn't give me my keys because I had been drinking, although I had sobered up a few hours beforehand, but it was completely understandable.
So.. I don't need a bike anymore. XD
Yeah, I know, it's a horrible thing to steal, but it certainly teaches people a lesson about keeping their bikes secured on a bike chain.
